  1. Whats the going hourly rate of pay for tractor driving Gav, experienced and novices?
  2. New Scorpion looks good with its green boom, hopefully someone will make a 1 32 of them in the near future.
  3. Paul have you not used the Global shipping programme on ebay yet? Ive sold several through it now and its actually very easy.............You sell a model to Mr International buyer and then write out the ebay supplied address to the GSP centre in Derby which will include the buyers hashtag ref#xxxxxxx ......................so for a small 2nd class parcel you pay 2.90 or whatever which the buyer has already paid for anyway and post it off to the GSP depot and that's it!!!.................its then upto the GSP too charge the buyer for the transit from Derby to outer Mongolia or wherever he lives, you don't get involved Once you have done one its a piece of cake and lets face it all bidders pushing up the price are welcome aren't they
  4. I agree with Jamie, the uniwrap rollant is a top, top drawer model
  5. Personally I would ruthlessly auction off most of it and just keep the items I would want on a new project for 2019..............And then restart with a fleet of Kubotas or something
  6. Yes I had a look at some models as well, but when push came to shove I had to buy a new cordless impact driver body for work as that's what earns the money for the hobby models in the first place.
  7. The one thing I really like about claas models is the paint matching between different model manufacturers, the shade of lime green on my USK Axion was the same as the Wiking Arion and the weise 4000................................Its a pity the various parties that make JDs cant manage such consistency!
  8. The Ford 5610 One of Britains all time classic balls ups..................First it was a 150hp TW20, then a 100hp Ford 7710 and finally they stuck a 5610 front grille on it and came up with the 75hp monstrosity in the picture above!!!!!!!! Why oh why they couldn't have left it as a 7710 and just given it the super q 2 makeover I will never know!
  9. I don't see the 690 being worth that much Paul, maybe the 590 might do better and the 390/ 398 could do well as these were very popular tractors with many still used on farms today. I see the Schuco JD 7810s fetch good money on single wheels, I sold one recently with a few minor mods, reg plate ,front link arm for £132 having bought it as a last off the shelf model for £60 in October.......................I think the 4755s are harder too find now so they could well go the way of Wikings 6930/ 7430s and start making £150 plus next year.
  10. I see another MF3080 went for £310 yesterday......................Why??? I don't remember it being a limited edition. If UH have any sense they will re release it with the curved top exhaust stack as a 3095, that was my fav model from the 3000s and sold really well around these parts
  11. The 228 looks stupid on tracks imo, no wonder it never got released in the UK.
  12. Thanks Graham, I have them on ebay for a few quid. Have you sold any of the cvx Quadtracs yet Goodie? Whats the response been to DOEs demos of them?
  13. I'm looking to sell off some of my early brochures as I really don't look at them very much...............I'm starting with 13 MF brochures of tractors...............These feature the following series.........2005, 3100, 3600s from 1987 and 91, 6100s, 8100s, 8170 and 9240...............302, 300s...........see pics below Looking on ebay most of the above are available for between £4 - £10s plus postage...............although I expect the 8170 and 9240 are a bit rarer as were the real tractors. I cant be bothered to split them, but dont want to get ripped off on the cheap! Whats the best course of action for a swift and fair price??
  14. Its the photo I think paul, my ruler says the siku might be 1mm longer so that wont matter......................its how it sits on top of the black engine side covers that matters and I wont know that until I try. The Britains model will need its roof and cab back panels sprayed too match the bonnet. Its such a shame that Britains didn't use diecast instead of plastic, the cost surely would have been marginal and they certainly would have sold more.
  15. Bought a siku JCB 4220 this week to use as a donor for the Britains model............................Overall the Britains model is clearly much better, however the Siku bonnet is metal and its painted in JCB colours and is better detailed. So I'm going to pick and mix the best bits and try and to make a half decent 4220.
  16. That Magnum 7250 was a "T" reg 1999 and one of the very last ones before the MX Magnum 270s replaced it.......................I remember thinking the farm were cheapskates for buying it as a cheaper alternative to the 270 which had been announced and was due that summer. Looking at both the 7250 & the 270 now, Id go for the 7250 for its no nonsense grunt!! I don't think I noticed at the time but that 7250 has white wheels?? I think I'm right in saying Steyr sold Magnum 7200s and just changed the CASE decal to Steyr and put white wheels on them.................Perhaps Goodie can shed some light on white wheeled CASE Magnums?
  17. Thanks for the comments chaps......................I took some of the pics at the Otley demos and Normac....................my personal fav was the 7230 magnum with the overum plough and furrow cracker which was taken near Bedford during the 1995 cultivations demo. That Magnum had the best decals and wasn't spoiled by the daft wing mirrors fitted to the Pro models.......................The 5150 plus was a cracker as well
  18. And one of the last Maxxum 5150 Pro tractors awaiting delivery from Collings Bros 1997
  19. Thought I would put up a few classic CASE Magnum / Maxxum pics ......................Goodie & Smithy should like these.
  20. How long before UH produce a model of this now the 620 is being released I wonder
  21. Coming back from my early Spalding visit on Saturday along the B1165 I had too blink twice with what I saw working in a field of no more than 40 acres..............................Four Challenger 765Es together in the one field ..............One was on a subsoiler, one on a big cultivator and one on a power harrow................the last one was on a Lemken solitaire combi drill unit. Talk about overkill.............................I did get a couple of longshots which I will get round to putting up at a later date.
  22. Combines seem to have been caught out round here by the recent wet spell, most of harvest had finished in late August but a few still had beans to cut which they've started but not managed to get back onto..........they must be getting well ticked off by now.
  23. I bet you were playing with the lights on the challenger all day...........................I expect this purchase means you wont be the first to buy the forthcoming green and red Fendt version MT. that Norscott are sure to release soon. I prefer the black nosed beige Challengers myself.
