  5. Thanks all! yes deerest im having fun along the way. through filling and shaping bits to fit the model ect.. im trying to get it as acurete as i can so it will take a while still to get done but it should be a good job when finnished! im learning a lot from doing this so any future builds such as a DB 1490 should be a lot quicker made as i will know what to do when it comes to shaping the model ect.. to get it acurate and right! regards james.

  10. My father uses a 9/10 foot krone mower for all his mowing in the silage season and hes got excelent service out of it so he bought another one and when he was finnished with the old one he took of the condtioner and he uses it to mow hay weve also got a kuhn but its never seen any service yet as the krone never gives any trouble! the kuhn is a much bigger mower its a bit rediculas when it comes to moving along the road as theres a fair distance between the drawbar and tractor but i hear there a good mower! we orignaly used JF's but then bought a JD but i was told it was hard to turn with the type of linkage on the JD and i think he got a bit of trouble with it i forget as it was a long time ago!

  14. Thank's! the bonnets of an ertl 2294 model! i made a front grill for the bonnet last night filled it out of perspex it looks good but still plenty of work! then im going to work on filling in the area where the exaust comes up through the side of the bonnet! im going to do a bit of cutting on the chassis as theres a bit to much under neeth! i got a JD 4020 2wd axle as well and i made a braket out of alluminum but it was ent long enough! if some one could show me detailed shots of brackets made to hold these axles idd be very thankfull!
  15. Thanks all all coments are appreciated! My aim for this model is to use it on a silage display first the 1690 will be picking up and will be side filling a DB 1490 (when also built) im trying to recreate a scene from one of the orignal promotional video's by david brown. then later ill get a case 2290 and also moddefie it with better wheels and a front 4wd axle ect to make it look like my uncles one and also add it to the display (when its also made )
  16. My uncels are contractors and use all David Brown and case tractor's in there buissness! one DB 1200 has completed over 40.000 hours and gets a rebuild every 6,000 or that not a full one but just the likes of gaskets been replaced and things like that! one DB 1690 4wd has over 30.000 hours also! and most of the tractors are over 10.000 at least.
