Lord Ferguson
Nice one Martin... Love the Massey's - we'll convery you from those Bl**dy Fords yet mate ;D Is that an old forage harvester minus its spout behind then
NewHolland2
Thanks Mark :) . I doubt ye'll get me away from my Fords, but ye never know...... ;) That is an old forage harvester minus it's spout behind, it is used by a mainly sheep farm up North, for cutting down tall grass in the fields. Some grass still comes out the spout hence why it's covered in grass. ;) I've got another one of the Massey, which I'll dig out in a minute...... What a beauty - I love that bonnet - what a slope - Would love to have a drive in that especially with the loader on. Bet you can almost see the floor in front. NewHolland2
I wouldn't mind a drive in it either...... Braw fun...... ;)
Lord Ferguson
They've changed somewhat from the days when I got to drive them. In my day a 595 was state of the art (MkII of course) I know it's OT but how's them lights coming on - you done the dirty deed yet and drilled them holes in Regan

Pingu
Theres a farmer local to me that runs a fleet of slopped masseys all new as he traed in his 42's and 62's all sloped now runs 1 5455, 2 6455 this are all sloped then on top of this he runs normal 6460 with a loader on and the heavy work is handled by a 7480 this is all on his strawberrys etc and they seem just to not stop moving so i dont think they have an easily life. They do have cereals but thats all run by a local contractor that runs the Fendt 926 that i have photos sitting around on the forum somewere
NewHolland2
Are the 5455 and 6455 models in current production MF Fan, or are sloping bonnet models no longer produced by Massey Ferguson?
Tractorman810
they still do the "hi vis" bonet, for the council ones ,the 4 series i thing,so it says on the fergy site, althought they don't slop as much as that ,and are combinesd with a panoramic cab
NewHolland2
Cheers TM. Funnily enough I spotted a fairly new looking sloped bonnet Massey on the back of a low-loader this morning on my way into town...... :)
Pingu
They still do the sloping bonnet on the 54 and 64 series but the 6455 is the largest they go up to with the sloping bonnet

Powerstarâ„¢
Nice one Martin... What a beauty - I love that bonnet - what a slope - Would love to have a drive in that especially with the loader on.? Bet you can almost see the floor in front.? Never seen a real one of those, nice picture and nice massey, nice use of direct-chop forager there too. Our 4245 has a sloped bonnet like that, it's great visability, great for loader work
