Mixing/Thinning Paints

How does everyone know how much to thin their paint?? I've ****** up a couple of hard worked models due to bad mixes of thinners!!!!! Not good for the bank balence losing time and money. . .  \ :'(

Ps, anyone ever had paint reacting??? like cracking or even bubbling???

I'd lobe to know too Ricky... for airbrush work I use 50/50 (humbrol model paint/thinners) but I'm sure that's not right.  I get crazing when I've used activator with my superglue - you using this too

when i bought mine for xmas,only 1 day till i get it :D, the guy in the shop said 2 paint to 1 thinner,also that there were different thinners to each paint,ie humbrol/revel model,acrylic ,like i use and so on,try your local shop if you get stuck pm me what sort of paint you use and i will ask the guy as he is a friend of the familly anyway
