Sorry Nick but it isn't a Porsche.

Now another late entry but this stunning 1/2 scale model of a Series 11 Field Marshall Contractors. It is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Engine and has forward and reverse transmission. Only needs the painjob and the badges now

check out the mkII rs2000, have a very sad tale about one of those and my wife, she asked her ex husband several time to remove it from the drive when they split up ,but he ignored her, so the final warning was i will scrap it ,he again ignored her, so guess where the mint rs2000 in terracotta red went ,yes the crusher, she took all the documnets up and watched as it was cubed :o :o :o :o then sent him the bill for doing it, amazingly all his pride and joy motorbikes went from the garage that weekend :D :D :D :D

I must admit I have a soft spot for those RS2000 Escorts. They were my kinda dream car after passing my test but at 17 well well beyond my means. Shame about the wifes ex's one would have been worth a few bob today.

Yes it was a nice looking Explorer Adam however somehow I don't think the owners really put it through it paces. It looked far too clean and tidy.

Faaaantastic!! The Scammel steals the show for me looking like that. No gloss, no shine. ..  looks as genuine as ever it could be. Straight from Slaisbury Plain. Really nice example that, Bill and thanks for snapping it up for me.

Also have to say the MkII Escort in rally trim is a looker, my uncle once had one of them. .. . and my brother had an XR4i. .. what a weapon that was. I remember that very fondly, much more fun than the later XR4x4. I also remember always thinking an RS2000 would be my dream classic. . . . now though I would like a Hilman Imp with the rear seats and engine removed to make way for an RS500 block  ;D Like never is that going to happen!  :D

Can't say I have often seen 70's and later buses at shows and thereh as been some effort to get these to their standard. Not the prettiest looking things and by todays standards they would be like greenhouses to ride in but it does show another breed of enthusiast as keen as any other to exhibit a finely restored vehicle.

Quite like that Field Hobbit Marshall too!  :):D

Glad you enjoyed the Explorer Tris

The "Hobbit Field Marshall" was one of the stars in the show for me. The chap who made it has worked most of his life on a farm but now is self employed driving a loading shovel at one of the Distilleries. For someone not to be a time served engineer it is quite a feat and it received a lot of looking and admiration. I just can't wait to see it sprayed and the badges on it....the icing on the cake
