BC
A fellow worker sent me a photo of his pig and chickens. To me the pig looks like a ceramic one but he assures me it is real. Does anyone know what breed he or she is ???

BC
Good guesses Mark but wrong on both counts. What about the chickens ???
archbarch
i reckon the pig is a fake, because the chickens are still alive and its too clean.
BC
You are quite correct Simon. He aint a real pig fibre glass the chap said. He tried to tell me it was a Gloster old spot but I never trust him because he is a real joker. Hes says the chicken's or "tookies" as he calls them are real. archbarch
those chickens would make a tasty snack for a real pig. Ive seen alot of fake cows around in gardens recently, i would rather see plastic livestock than those bloody Vietnamese pigs people keep as pets, somethings i will never understand??? jdc
Not a real pig because there is still some grass left TT reckons the hens are (maybe!) L to R, ISA hybrids, Rhode Island Red male, Black Rock, Leghorns
BC
Well John tell Maureen she was 50% correct so not bad. He says If I can believe him The Rhode Island Red male is a Welsummer And the leghorns are Dorkings He has Dorking but not in picture and tells me they lay blue eggs. He also has a dog weighing 12 stones and now he or wife wants a donkey
powerrabbit
The light brown chickens are the same breed used in battery houses, called Lohmann Traditional, very close to the slightly darker red/brown free renge layers that are a cross between Rhode Island Red and Lhomans which are known as Golden Comet. The cockerel is a cross, Rhode Island Red with Wellsomer. The light grey hen is a cross, don't recognise the lighter colour side of the cross, probably an Orpington but the grey is either Marran or Plymouth Rock. As for the fibreglass pig, at least it will not need feeding or a ring in its nose to stop it rooting.
