There are four classes for the tractors

I was in the Class up to 1955 and was first in class and won the Stanley Partridge & Sons Cup which I have won 4 times with my Farmall A but have recorded a fifth win of this cup with my cub since she was restored 11 years ago.

And look the goodies inclued a carrier bag and a minature of the Macallan Fine oak to add to my other collections ;)

In addition there was a 400ml tub of Autosmart Carnauba Gold wax polish, a pen and three key rings

And in the bag there was a tyre pressure listing for cars 1945 to 1975

2nd went to Vic Mather with his 1952 Farmall M

3rd went to Mike Robertson from Brechin with his 1950 TE20 and Fergusin 30cwt trailer.

I missed who won the Agnes J Noble Memorial for tractors 1964 to 1970.

2nd place went to a 1959 MF35

For Tractors 1964 to 1970 it was the McRobbie Family Cup

I missed who got first but second place went to

a 1969 MF 135

This won the Best restored Tractor too so obviously different judges were judging \ \

For 1971  to 1980 its my name sake

Congratulations Bill, always great to see the Escorts especially the ex-Mikkola/Vatanen car. Very fine line up of tractors too and great to see the variety of Zetor machines on display, I do like that little crawler example.

EUW 939V was one of a pair of Mk2 Escorts built brand new especially for the British Championship in 1980 by David Sutton and was originally prepared in the Eaton Yale colour scheme for Hannu Mikkola whilst Ari drove EUW 938V in Rothmans colours. The team never finished lower than 2nd throughout their title assault that year. Mikkola drove EUW 939V in four British events during 1980 before the car reappeared in 1981 clothed in Rothmans sponsorship for Ari Vatanen to tackle the Swedish rally as part of his successful World Championship campaign. He finished second funnily enough to Mikkola who was now aboard the 4wd Audi Quattro in it's development year.

The car in Eaton Yale colours in the hands of Mikkola on the Mintex in familiar territory, turn the volume up to this little lot of legends, Group 4 bliss.

Thanks David...win or lose I do not really care unless the judge has been bribed or should I say knows the exhibitor and its the owner not the machine that is being judged.

Sandy Dalgarno or Daly as he is know has a number if old race cars including Ford Zephy and Zodiacs  but he has also a collection of historic tractors too... well at least the same as me ....a small collection of five which he bought at a local sale one day

what a cracking set of pictures bill ,like the  ERF  s bill the gibbs one is smart    there is some serious hours of work to get all them machines to that condition , well done to you for taking pics lovely

David the reason for all the Zetors is probably there was a Zetor dealer in the area called Stanley Partridge. It is now held by Marrs of Methlick. Always seen as the "Lada" or "Skoda" of tractor by many but those big Crystals were powerful beasts in their day ;)

Glad you enjoyed them Graham. That ERF in Gibbs colours is owned by Jim Gray the organiser of the show and he is a Gary of Gray & Adam's the fridge van manufacturers.

The ERF was actually a Gibbs lorry from new and I remember speaking to the chap who does Jame's mechanical stuff that it was in a hell of a state when it was bought. The only real thing wrong or should I say not original is the the gearbox had been changed from the initial specification.

The fridge van was discovered up North lying derelict by James whilst on a road run with some of his Austin cars. The fridge van actually works too. There will have been a serious amount of money spent on getting that rig to it present day state. I always did like the livery of Gibbs of Fraserburgh. The other one I like is Stevenson's of Wick.

Thanks for that picture Bill,and indeed all the others,I thought the later 135 - Duncan cabbed tractors had that wee houseing for the foot throttle,which I think was probably an option on the earlier models,

No problem Joe. It's a nice and very well organised show. It just one that finishes late for a Sunday. Always 5pm before the raffle of the wood carvings and the prize giving took place. That meant it was 5.30 before I got away and home around 7pm. I actually missed my prize since I was gassing we someone and the microphone system is terrible. I was able to get it over the side and well missed being photographed and being caught on video too ;)
