neilw
Do the Axion and Deere help with the hauling as well?? Not to much pressure if your tipping not to far away!! £800 a tyre?? Thats mad!!!
Deere-est
Deere is not on haulage no, it does cultivating but mainly drilling. The Axion may well help out being more a suitable size. £800 is nothing, the Rollands were £1800! The size, the fact they are floatations but yet have to have a strong load bearing sidewall, the width..... everything is a factor when you get the specialist stuff like that mate. neilw
is there any reason they dont go self propelled with the sprayers?? Logic says they can handle it with the tractors without having to pay for an extra road going machine, but can it really be cost effective having a xerion doing your spraying?? What else does the deere do when not seeding??
Deere-est
If they went self propelled they'd have a Xerion sat doing nothing and not earning back what it costs to keep. As for the Deere, I would think it follows on behind the Xerion if the ground needs a successive pass before the drilling begins and anything else 'at the time'. FB
Strange that they leave the trailers tipped slightly (I assume to stop water pooling in them)... if that is the case... I think I'd drill a 6mm hole in each corner and 'plug it' at harvest time with a gutter bolt or two \ .. that was the rams would be stored closed and not part open \ Is that why they are tipped Trissy Marky, a farmer down Long Drove does that with his two trailers if left out, usually supported with a bit of wood Tris, any idea, unless its my eyes , why there is a upstand in that shed with the JD?, didnt see it in any of the text? nice pics and reports though!,

Lord Ferguson
What's an upstand? Normally means flooring that runs a little up the wall so far as I know \
Deere-est
Ah, in that case I don't think so. It was concrete panels. The shed with the Xerion in was a former beef house.
Gav836
I would guess that Ben means the green grain cooling pedestal behind the drill myself \

These walls are permanent and made up of concrete panels. Popular, strong and fast to install. Typical Ben to ask a question no-one understands and then disappear!!
