Tractorman810
has any one ever used a product called crop tube before, been passing a farm the last few weeks that has been storing his wheat in 25m long "dumpbag" material tubes, sealed at the end by stiching i think, got no idea how they fill them and cant seem to find much on the net on them either? The Tractor Twitcher
Do you mean something similar to this Sean? http://www.ironsearch.com/Farm-Tractors/SmartSort-Equipment/Ag(d)Bag/Bagger/1706637.aspx A local contractor used to use an Ag-Bag machine similar in set up to the one above that was towed behind a Ford TW-20 back in the early to mid nineties and used alongside the self propelled foraging service he also offered. Remember seeing a good number of the large white tubes filled with various types of silage appear on farms around here. From memory it didn't last all that long. He did appear in Farmer's Weekly with it many moons ago and it's the only one of these machines i've ever seen in the flesh.

JK
The storage method you refer to may be similar to the attached photograph which was taken at a maize demonstration in Co. Cork in 2010. The company involved was www.samco.ie a company operated by Mr Sam Shine. The bag as I recall could be used to store many types of material, even materials to be recycled for instance.
