chris.watson
how do all. picked this 1/32 model up today at the ernest doe dealer show in essex for £32.95. out of the box and the model is secured on plinth by one screw, which come undone easily. [u/h take note]. i think the tractor looks brilliant with the same level of detail as the international 845 xl. rear linkage raises and lowers o.k, although a little stiff to start with. model comes with extras pack with usual top link, lift arm drawbar and pin. engine detail is good, with filters painted white for that extra touch and bonnet tilts forward for good access to engine bay.cab interior is excellent in detail and looks pretty much to scale, i think the britains example of international tractor 956 xl has a handbrake that looks to big for the interior, no such problems here. lights and work lamps are proper inserts and look good [ take note ertl/britains]. cab doors do not open, but i can live with that. now the bad points. well i can only find two and there just niggles really; mirror inserts are painted silver and would look better in foil, and the front wheels were very stiff to rotate, so i gave them a little 3 in 1 oil to lubricate and it done the trick [had same problem on 845 xl].other good points are the front axle steers in each direction with a good lock, tyre rubber looks good and not overly plasticky, and the wheels, although plastic, look the part for the tractor. to sum up, i think this model is very good, especialy for what it cost. please post your comments about this review, as i am fairly new to this and would appreciate your comments [good or bad] now for the photos, rgds, chris. The Tractor Twitcher
Fantastic looking model, thanks for posting your review on it Chris. It's definitely on my shopping list for this year along with the other Replicagri Internationals. Just need the forthcoming 955 converted into a 2wd version to represent a tractor that works locally to me.
ed.l
A well detailed model, my only critism is that it is missing footsteps on the right side, having owned the real thing i know they were definately fitted.
justy 46
Im a blue man at heart ,but ive a real soft spot for them classic IHs. I have an ever growing shopping list for all these new 80's era tractors coming on stream lately, but that IH 1055 is going near top of it after seeing those pics. Only thing about it is i would like to see a propper hitch to pull a trailer. Some collecters may disagree cause it might spoil the detail a little . Still i like it alot and want one now. Cheers for sharing those pics Chris.
