justy 46 Posted July 14, 2012 Share Posted July 14, 2012 After completeing a 4600 last week. I began to finsh off this Ford 4000 convo also. I built it in much the same way as i did the 4600 , but using the newer Britains FORD 5000. I shortened the engine block, changed the rear wheels, using the wheels from the Scale Down Ford 5000 , put smaller tyres on the front rims , shortened the width of the front axel, reduced the depth of the front tomestone,pushed the front axel forward a fraction,sank the floor pan down a little,added windscreen wipers,mirrors , indicators over the mudguards,toolbox in the cab & front weight frame & changed the decals. . But it aint bad i spose. 7'th convo now over the space of 18 months. And im getting a wee bit better each time. The 3 cyl Fords were always a must do for me. Thats the standard Britains Ford 5000 cab (new type) with a few extras like windscreen wipers & mirrors added in for more detail. Cheers Chris.
