Jdeere6910 Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Thats a very nice model chris. How wide are the booms on it?
chris.watson Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 Thats a very nice model chris. How wide are the booms on it?good question mate. the box has been put in the loft, but i would say, without measuring it, it is either 32 or 36 meters.looks far to wide to be 24 meters.
Hoss Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Think I read somewhere its based on the Pommier 40m boom Chris, they fit that & their own boom.
Niels Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 It looks a good model and for model standards a very wide boom. If it was a Pommier it would be alloy and not painted this is just the standard boom from Exel. Any chance to measure the boom Chris? If it really were 32m it would have to be 1 metre wide in model.
chris.watson Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 hello Niels. i have had a measure of the Raptor booms and they are 1,120mm wide. so what does that equal in real terms? 36 meters?
catkom3 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Chris 1.120 x 32 = 35.84, does that sound right,?? Regards Joe.
Niels Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 So meant to be 36 metres I assume, that is quite neat. Doesn't look like the booms being 112 centimetres wide but nice they made it like that. Might have to get the Tecnoma version myself..
