Recommended Posts

On the Friday afternoon before Messrs A & C Murrison sale I went round past to get some photos. I went back on my way home on the Saturday afternoon to get prices of the main field items. The sale was conducted by Aberdeen & Northern Marts from Inverurie and the auctioneers on the day were Alan Hutcheon and Marc MacIntosh. The Murrisons were selling up having sold a lot of there land for housing just outside Inverurie.

Thanks for taking the time to post this thread Bill. I love looking through what stuff is making at the sales. Those Dalbo rolls went cheap.

That's the thing about sales prices can go crazy or a steal...perhaps out of season and hence went cheaper than at a back end or an early Spring sale

Got to echo Chris comment, always nice too see a sale report :)   Like the trailers , look abit homemade and capable of taking more than the rated weights

I heard the farmer was either a blacksmith or an engineer / fabricator so yes they were homemade but probably got a better paint job than a Marshall one ;D  ;D

Thanks for those Bill.

The Massey 860 was a steal at that price.

And isn't the 135 an absolute beaut.

The 135 looked tidy from a distance but close up the bonnet had been brush painted.
