SPN
Malcy, Would the 1:1 Matador have been produced in all of those colours? If so, what years were each colour available? I only remember the original dark green colour on a Matador.

The silver ones were *very* early prototypes and the seed green ones were from 1969 onwards I think... I know the early one is in monochrome but you can see it wasn't just the colour that changed before the general release happened. /m.
texas
The lime green was for australia. They had problems with the silver one because off the sun it's reflextion. That was what they told me at claas.

Germany got some in 1968 - http://www.proplanta.de/Landtechnik/Maehdrescher/Claas-Matador-Gigant_la-3147382.html Poland too, probably at a similar time - http://www.iagro.pl/class-matador-gigant,at-99649.html

JEP
Agree with Malc, Senator was launched in the Autumn of 1966, for the 67 season, this was the first claas combine in "seed green", together with claas orange (wheels, reel and decals) and white trim, the colours that are still in use today (although the first batch of Senators used for harvest evaluation in 1966 had white decals on the rear hood). The Mercator and Consul were introduced for the 68 season, again in the new colour scheme. I think the Matadors where changed to the new colour around late 67 early 68, although there wouldn't be many around in this colour as the Standard was dropped in 1968, with the Giant available till 1969. I think the U-H Matador will be a very nice addition in seed green, and for me - this model is still one of the best detailed 1:32 combines that has been produced.
