UH New Holland T6.175 and Britains T6.180

The T6.175 and T6.180 are like their forebears the 7610/7810 and 7740/7840 in that they are 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder models of the same horsepower and spec (more or less).

UH have modelled the 4 cylinder T6.175 and Britains have modelled the 6 cylinder T6.180.

The UH model is the more detailed, which isn't surprising as it is double the cost of the Britains model.

One of the interesting things about the new T6 (Tier 4b) range is that the 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder models have the same wheelbase, 2642mm. They are longer than the previous T6 range which had a wheelbase of 2387mm on the 4 cylinder models and 2627mm on the 6 cylinder models. (Figures refer to standard front axles).

Here's an overhead of the T6020, T6.175 and T6.180 to show their respective wheel bases.

I don't have the new T6.145, but I assume it has the longer wheelbase of the T6.175.

Here's the T6020 face on to the T6.175 to show how the tractor has evolved.

One thing to notice in this photo are the wheels. The T6020 has 24s on the front and 38s on the rear, and looks well proportioned.

The T6.175 has the wheels from the UH T5 model (and Golden Jubilee T6) but they don't quite look right. There is something about the proportions that seems off. On the other hand, when the T6.175 is put beside the UH Fendt 415, a comparable modern 150hp 4 cylinder, the T6.175 looks to be on a par.

All in all, they are both very good models.

The UH T6.175 has a lot of detail, but is let down by the wheels, which just don't look right. I can't put my finger on it, but there is something off. I have posed it beside the Fendt 415, the Ford 7810 and the UH Ford TW25, and it looks well beside each of them. But still there is something not right about it. I've also posed it with the beefy rear wheels from the Replicagri Ford NH 8560, and while they do look well, they don't sit well with the small front wheels. The front linkage is also slightly off. It won't hold the monobloc weight from the UH T6090/T7.210/T7.225 as it is slightly wider than the pins. It will hold the ROS A frame, Weise A frame and any implements that have linkages which have holders on the outside.

The Britains T6.180 is a very good representation of the machine, but it lacks certain details we have come to expect, such as hand rails and auxiliary lights. The Britains T7060 model from 2008 (42301) had a lot more detail around the cab than this model has.

At the €45 price point, I'd give the T6.175 a score of 7 out of 10

At the €22 price point, I'd give the T6.180 a score of 6 out of 10

The rear wheel mudguards from the back of both tractors are very different indeed .There is more of an over hang on the UH model....should that be the case on both tractors ??

Looks like the T6.180 has American spec (ERTL?) rear mudguards

great comparison SPN

I received the new Britains t6 for christmas and really like it. Does the cab lift off on yours? Mine seems fixed and I worry I'll break it if I pull too much

Hopefully the new UH t6 will also find a place in my fleet soon

The Britains model has pinched the wheels, tyres and rear fenders and cab frame from their T7000 models!!  They are way to big for a small T6.

The UH model needs better wheels and tyres back and front!!

I will agree with you on the UH model , But not so sure on the Britains . The wheels aint bad under the Britains , I don't think the are the same as the older Britains T7 . They look different to me .

.Note the wheels on the Britains T7 .The centres are different .to the newer T6 . Not so sure if they are smaller , but it looks very tight between the tyres & fenders at the rear alright.. I would like to see a pic of both back to back.

I put Claas Arion 550  front wheels and tyres on my T7225  and used the rear tyres fitted to a CASE Puma wheel centre.  More or less exactly the same set up as on that NH T6.180 posted up earlier.   I reckon these tyres are replicas of a 650/65 R38 set up ...............The CASE Puma tyres were bigger 650/75 R38s  but used same rims.

Anyone else notice that the roof on the UH T6175 has been sprayed red and stuck on their UH CASE 145....Wrooonnnggggg!!    Look at the pic below of a real Maxuum 145 which has the same roof as the Puma range and is not the same as the NH roof.............UH cutting corners yet again>:(..............they put the right lights on it, but used the wrong roof...................and the wrong paint colour!!  Useless feckers;D

So if you want a spot on CASE 145 or 150 you need to buy a puma as well for its roof,  remove all the decals and respray the model Like I did with my recent Puma convos, order new decals and probably wheels tyres!!!!  Best off sticking with the blue one as that's pretty accurate.

Pulled out my T7.270 Golden Jubilee today to check, and they are the very same wheels and tyres.

So there is more black paint on the rear rim centres on the T7 compared to the new T6 . That's what threw me off SPN it seems .. but thanks for clearing it up ..;)

With UH promising a T6.180 in 2020 I thought I'd top this review of the UH T6.175 and the Britains T6.180.

I'd like a more detailed T6.180, particularly a T6.180 Methane, so it will be interesting to see what UH do with this.

T6.175 body with T5.130 wheels maybe?
