SPN
I've been playing around with a resin model trying to improve my painting skills and learning all the lessons the hard way. Now I want to go back to the unpainted shell and start again to see if I can do it better this time round. What technique would people advise to remove humbrol enamel from a resin piece? super6
This from Toolbox Tam in a PM to me a while back If you need to strip the paint from anything else , although it may not be the quickest , Fairy Power Spray will strip paint from plastic without damaging it , this can then be followed by a wash in an ultrasonic cleaner . The cleaner does wonders for bales & other items as well , but would avoid on painted items , due to risk of paint los
SPN
I went with paper towels (and cotton buds) soaked in white spirit, together with lots of elbow grease. It alllowed me to thin the paint coat back down to a stage where I think I can recover the project. We'll see. All part of the learning curve.
