Well second day off this year! With the Suffolk Farm Machinery club this time trip to John Deere’s uk head office at langar. After getting a detailed insight in JD’s companies and history and tour around the parts and training facilities the roller shutter doors were opened up and we could drive any of the tractors in the yard well I collect JD models as well as selling them but I am not the biggest JD fan but I did drive the biggest JD the 9620RX. Then to JD’s restaurant were we were fed and watered very well! Before we returning to the coach we were give a memento of our day. After a short trip to the next village of Harby, canal farm to the vintage centre with tractor restoration pro Ben Craig. I Was like a kid in a sweet shop with vintage and classic tractors as far the eye could see, 80 pictures later coffee and cake. Time to leave, big thanks to all at JD and the Vintage Centre what a great day out not even the weather could spoil.

Must have been an interesting trip there Martyn, thanks for sharing your photo's :)

Thanks Paul yes it was great and well worth a visit if you are ever there. I did inquire to what Ben Craig charges to restore something like a Ford 7000 with cab to which it would cost between 15 - 20k!
