i dont know much about potato planting or prep but a field today at the back of a house i was working at had 4 jd’s working at the same time big john deere 7R at a guess and on a ridger?and 3 i think stone separators, why do you need 3 ?When they were done another  jd came in and again i think planting the spuds

One properly would be enough if you started 4 days ahead of the planter ,the planter goes quicker so would soon catch up so they run 2/3/4 or more to get field ready quickly so they can get spuds in by end of the day in case it rains
