IH885XLMAN Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 this old dog has seen better days ive known this tractor since i was 6 or 7 but the angels wanted the engine more than the farmer and now needs an engine transplant (they never realy serviced her that well) its seized solid im told and been standing there for 6 months now but "R" REG 76 -77 30yrs give or take not bad realy what are the breaks like to sort out I hear they can be a pig to do cosmeticaly she looks quite bad but parts for a cab rebuild are add-on which can be easy to source aswell how much would a transplant cost ? ? ? Guest MF 550 Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 The brakes on these caused be caused by 3 different problems? first try bleeding them bleed screws at back below fuel tank either side somebody pumping brakes while you watch for air and oil coming out of bleed screws after you have slackened them O rings might be worn PAIN TO REPAIR master cylinder located under dash behind dials could be knacked an absolute sod to get at Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
