ihatepoundland Posted December 19, 2006 Share Posted December 19, 2006 The front ends of most of the artics seem to be cast in two halves, with a join in the centre - in my opinion this really spoils the look of these models - obviously it is down to cost and strength but I think it is a shame that there is not a seperate casting of the frame that could wrap around to disguise this. Beneath the grill is a joint between the two main halves that does not exist on the real thing - http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=12305.0 IF cost was not an issue, I think a seperate casting of the frame would finish the models off much better. It seems to me that this gap is worse on some models than others - some of the Toyfarmers don't look quite as bad.
