Richard de Florennes
Hello everybody, this is what I have seen concerning field farming during the two weeks summer holidays with my family (1st week in Camridgeshire, 2nd week in the Cotswolds ...). It was a journey with rather mixed feelings concerning the farming issue, with very friendly and helpful farmers, but also some annoying fellows without any understanding ("sir, you must not be on these grounds"); also very difficult finding good photo situations, as most fields were surrounded by hedges or fences and entry restricted to farmers only, and so on. Also, rules and signs everywhere for everything (stay in line, reduce speed now, parking no return within one hours, pay and display, no entry, no access for unauthorized persons, farm vehicles only plus speed cameras and CTTV cams - EVERYWHERE, in every shop, in every village - "big brother is watching you" live, plus car drivers riding full speed through all those typical narrow and slopy English country rouds making up for a lot of almost-accidents (good thing I am a careful driver, otherwise I woul not be able to join this forum anymore)), back here I know what is real freedom (especially concerning photographing farm implements in action ...) ;-) However to recap - lots of very friendly people and nice landscapes (still love England), pics will follow within the next hours and days:
