Britains 6180 Chassis swap

AndyB

Question

First question - is the Britains MF 6180 bodywork to scale ???

If so what would everyones opinion be as to the best chassis to swap the body work to ???

My gut feeling would be the UH Deutz K but would it be too short.................. ???

Any comments much appreciated, Andy

My thoughts are that although fairly basic in details the Britains 6180 is reasonably accurate for a 6150. It's almost as if britains have measured up a 6150 and then at a late stage of production thought no lets change the decals and make it a 6180.[ never mind the 6 cylinder engine, no one will notice].

Had a few more thoughts and took these couple of pics, Probably if you want a 6180 its better to start with Britains 6290 and add a lengthened bonnet from the 6180. Anyway heres the difference between a 6290/6180 convo and a virtually standard 6180/6150 convo , with the original bonnet length.
