I would say that wooden lollipop sticks would be a good bet, you can get them in the likes of hardware stores that sell kitchen utensils and party stuff. Just cut the rounded ends off and you could stain them down a pale green to simulate tannalised boards with watered down food colouring or if you want a more weathered look stain them with tea or coffee. Just an idea!

i take it they have warped outwards slightly so you have gaps between them ?? you could glue each one and hold them, in with a small clamp and some spare sticks to spread the load, or leave them

i spaced mine with a scrap bit cut to the width i wanted to show ,then  just held it on centerl along the borad fixed last then dabbed a bit of glue on each end to hold the new one which i butted against my tempalte one, then, once set i glued the center from inside,  that way each board is roughly right, although some are smaller than others ect, so it added to the effect

that looks good to me mate, after all they aint always straight are they, nails go rusty and planks slip over time, try that method i said, maybe fit one, then use another on its side between them to act as a spacer, just dont glue it in  :D :D

what about mac donalds i got heaps from there but i used them all

yeah they are all the same near as, i need a fair few, so bought 3000 of them, tris now has 1000 of them, but i have 1 more barn to clad, and maybe another to build, so i couldnt eat any more maccy d's or drink any more tesco tea so for me it worked out better to do it this way
