Andy Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Now this is something I have just purchased, on the prognosis that it is a genuine johillco model that has copied the tractor dinky produced. I may be completely wrong, but it looked interesting, and worth the gamble! Quote
Andy Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 Finally recieved this model in the flesh today. Anyone able to help any more on what this tractor may be? Quote
Kiwi6920 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 At a stab in the dark andy id say its a early Fordson N Quote
Tractorman810 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 certainly a old fordson look to the bonnet? arches not sure, would the us spec fordsons have arches like that Quote
allis8550 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Looks to me like a Fordson N "longwing", they were built circa 1929-32 in Ireland. The long mudguards were supposed to stop the tractor rearing over backwards, a common occurence with Fordsons, but being only thin sheet metal were probably of little use. Quote
Andy Posted April 4, 2008 Author Posted April 4, 2008 Thanks for the input guys. It's pretty much a replica of the dinky toys fordson N I think. Certainly old going by the casting method used for it! Quote
