Yes the R.L are top spec trailers, just wish that customers bought the rootcrops in a different colour as orange isn't a very impacting or eye catching colour. Virtually all the root trailer around here are orange, and we are talking easily 100 trailers on my patch!! And yet R.L grain or maize or tri axle trailers in the locality are black, blue, green, yellow, red, you name it.................but not root crops, very strange.
He wont sell them in any other colour ,gets really upset if you ask

A couple of hours investigation work carried out on thowd 804, a good wash and then a bit of a run up the lane to the college and back has found the source of the oil leaks, wrongly diagnosed assuming it was the rear crank seal but actually the engine oil leak is from the rocker cover gasket and oil dribbling down rear if the engine block and along the lower chassis to the underside of clutch housing giving the impression of a crank seal failure, this alone wasn't the full cause of the volume of oil leaked as further investigation fount the orbital unit is leaking up the splines that the steering column slides into, contributing to the oil under the tractor.... That's not too big of an issue as know a man with the mandrel to get the seals in the unit without damaging them.... Also found the right hand half shaft seal leaking and theres a weep from around the PTO but that's been weeping for 5 years..... So a few jobs to do but not as major as I thought..... Which is a bonus 🙂
Think if you dont get orbital unit done right it acts like a hydraulic motor and steering wheel just spins around ,well it do on some case tractors ,think its a danfloss ? unit

This is something that I thought was highly unusual, picked up this morning at an antiques and collectors fair. A catalogue for Corgi models dated 08/59 and stamped on the front with a model shop in Bombay, d'Haveri Sports and Gifts.
I have taken photos of a couple of the pages showing the tractors and it amused me to see that you could join the Corgi Model Club for 2 shillings and sixpence a year, (12 1/2 p) when you would receive a badge and the Corgi Model Club magazine.
I can remember having the club magazine as i was a member , back then we never thought about keeping things like that we just looked at them then disposed of them and eagerly awaited the next one . I was a member of the Airfix club as well

I seem to be getting really annoyed at the moment following on from our aborted house sale.
On Saturday evening we had some of the grandchildren on a sleepover and they wanted a bath. Half way through running the bath, the water went cold so I was asked to have a look at the boiler. I opened the cupboard door to see water squirting everywhere and coming out of the sides of the boiler, not good!
I called the local boiler engineers as we have a maintenance contract with them to be told that it was cream crackered and had boiled its last. As a result we now needed a new boiler which they cannot fit until Thursday, it is also going to cost me a pretty penny as well.
As a result we have no heating and no hot water and then on Monday evening Mrs R was boiling the kettle to get some water for washing up when that also went POP. As a result I have had to go and buy a new kettle today, it never ends and it has left me wondering if I have run over a black cat or broken a mirror recently.
If we didn't have bad luck then we wouldn't have any luck at all.
Things come in 3s , keep you chin up and i am sure things will change
