you can or use dark brown blending into a beige

Looks good Mark, modelling tip for you (although you may know already) before you fill the pond with "water" I would paint the wood first dark in the middle then lighter as you go out towards the banks, will give the illusion of depth.

WOOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEE looking good Tris looking good. I think it's all these bits and pieces that add to the enjoyment of our hobby. Having a cabinet full of models is great, but having a display like yours (and other members) is just far better in my opinion :P :P Keep up the good work.
