  4. Soil Conditioner Solo 330 The Simba Solo is an amalgamation of well proven cultivation components. It is basically a tandem version of a 23C disc harrow combined with a soil loosener and press roll arrangement. The Solo is designed to incorporate surface residue and rectify sub-surface damage, such as compaction in one pass, without bringing the sub-soil to the surface. The rear mounted DD roller controls the depth of the rear discs as well as consolidating the worked surface. The two rear elements; the disc gang and roller can be inverted if necessary. With the DD roller fitted ahead of the rear discs, a more thorough mixing of residue is achieved on heavy land. The four deep tines are hydraulically set, can be individually adjusted for depth and may be fully retracted for use as a tandem disc harrow if necessary. SIZE: 700mm Tandem front discs at 250mm spacing. V Frame with hydraulic rest tines and Pre-lift points spaced at 750mm. Integral roller with DD ring or rubber typed option. 750mm tandem rear discs at 300mm spacing. Simple depth and pitch control. Working Width 3.30 m Transport Width 3.0 m In conditions where a high level of surface trash is to be incorporated, the Solo will provide a viable alternative to ploughing, especially if a minimal tillage regime is to be adopted. By providing a means of alleviating any compaction or wheeling damage, the Solo will enable the incorporation of residue to be carried out without loosing the topsoil. Consolidation by the unique DD roller provides maximum residue/soil contact and moisture retention. Should the rear elements be reversed e.g. the DD roller ahead of the rear discs, the use of a trailed press or roller is recommended.
