Thanks Sean,I can see nothing wrong with the cab but I know what you mean. I am very self critical of my own work and very rarely satisfied with it. \ I am glad of the feedback from the forum to see if I am doing things right or not. -

Anybody else collect Britain's Lorrys?
1972farming replied to 1972farming's topic in Britains Farm Models
Thanks Marky. My cut off is around the mid 1960s really,as you know I had a big clearout last year to buy the motocrosser and thats when I decided to concentrate on the old models.I have horse drawn models from Britains ,the army lorries and of course the farm models.I also really like the lead animals and figures along with the early plastics by Britains and Herald.I have also bought figures and soldiers by other old English manufaturers when I have found them cheaply.I do take more care now buying though ,I used to buy all sorts and end up selling most of them on but now I consider most purchases well before buying. -

I have never seen the builders lorries Andy ,but I did see a picture of a Royal Mail lorry once.I think the old lorries have packs of charm and look the part with the old tractors. -

I could give it a try Marky,no problem. How long does it need to go mate ? At the moment it has the 595 chassis and wheelbase . Don't let Barry know that I have been dabbling with red tractors,he will be sending me to the same place as Britney !!!!!!!!!! :o -

I also had a play with one of the left-over fergie bonnets and tried to make it more 35x - ish ! Its difficult making it but this is what I have done so far. It will look better with some decals fitted. -

Thanks for that TBF,it would be nice to think that I have something rare. I have now straightened the axles and gave it a good clean and it looks better. -

Cheers Marky. I think I will try to do the front grill in silver as on the real thing. I want it to look a bit different to the britains type, even if it does use britains parts. -
