  1. Thanks folks ,and the good thing is I had the fastrac bits lying around and thought of the idea by accident .
  2. This is another one which we have all seen.I am in the process of making a siku fergie into a 135.Obviously a lot to do still. This is just an old bonnet and grille to get the basic idea.I have removed most of the oversized steering linkage, removed some of the rear linkage and taken off the rear lights.Lots to do but I will post up finished pictures when its done .And I am painting it red ..........not blue !
  3. I know its nothing that hasn't been done before but I wanted to share this with you all.I have been working on this convo for a while now.I started with an old 5000 and fitted a Siku JCB Fastrac front axle to give it 'proper' steering.I turned the axle upside down as well.I kept the Fastrac wheels as well.I am now just going to do some small details and waitning for decals to come from Henri Walker in Holland.I will post up some more photos when its finished. Thanks for looking.
  4. I have only just stumbled upon this topic.Lovely pictures folks,I am beginning to regret selling my zoo collection now ! Excellent website as well
  5. Lovely pair of tractors there.Well done.I may have to dig some old chassis myself.I haven't built a 595 for ages.
  6. I know these have been done before but I wanted to share this one with the blue fans. I used a renault cergos front axle for a bit of real steering. Hope you like it.
  7. One belt was just enough mate. I will scan the photos of the real tractor and post them up on here when I get chance.
  8. Thanks for your comments fellas . I am not sure about making another ,it was a bit of a fiddle and most of my models are made out of a lot of scrap stuff which is hard to get hold of. The tracks were made out of a britains multi-level elevator belt which is hard enough to find. I am really stuck now whether to let the customer have it or not . \
  9. I have just finished this one for a customer and can't bear to part with it ! \
  10. They were fine thanks Scott ,the casting was a bit crude in places and there is a dent in the front grill. I am not sure if the dent is just on mine or on their master mould but I have left this one because it looks ok when its painted a dark colour. The casting just needed fettling in a few places but I think they are excellent value .Thanks again for putting me onto them
  11. Following on from THEBRITFARMER's lead ,I have purchased on of the repro e27ns and modified it a little. Its fitted with a monroe muledozer which works by turning the extra steering wheel, this then moves the blade up and down.I still need to fit decals and finishing touches but its almost there.I was unsure of the colour of the real muledozer because I worked from a black and white photo.I know Britains made them orange or blue but does anyone know what colour they were in real life ? I ould love to know for potential future conversions etc.
  12. I know there have been a few of these on here but heres an industrial version.
  13. You can just prize them apart if you are careful and use a bit of glue on each rivet to seal back together. Its something which is easier to do than try to describe ;)If that makes sense \
  14. Trial and error is the besy way to go ,I can remember swapping front axles on my MF 595 and FORD TW20 in the early 1980s.I am still doing it now !
  15. I hand painted this one myself mate ,humbrol paint . My paint man needs a rst sometimes !
  16. I've been through the site and the kits look really good. I have also found that they do the tyres etc for the e27n so I am going to order some bits and have a go at some more modifications to the old Fordson. They also do the old 2 wheeled tipping trailer which looks good. From what I have seen the prices seem pretty fair too. Thanks again for bringing it to my and everyone elses attention .
  17. WOW :o :o What a site ! I am getting in touch with them tomorrow, the e27n looks very good,as does most of the other stuff. Thanks very much for you help Britfatmer .
  18. Thanks Sean ,I buy all of my parts for restoring from Brian Norman (01646 661645) . As you can see ,for this tractor I had to get mudguards, exhaust, air cleaner, steering wheel, front axle, seat assembly, rear linkage and all 4 tyres and the decals. They were all bits he had in stock and all repro bits. The tyres were ?4.00 each ,not cheap, but they are as close to original as you will find and he has the initial outlay to start making them in the first place. I do buy bits from Steve Flowers and Karen Harris as well for some jobs.
  19. Yes I know what you're saying mate . If I could get another cheap E27n I might have ago at building one with steering as well .
  20. I'm not sure about a value but its nice to tnink that it might be unique . Somebody else may have done this conversion before though surely ? \
  21. Thanks mate,it was abit of a fiddle but worth it in the end. I was also torn between just restoring it as standard and modifying it like I have . It almost felt criminal to modify such an old and usually sought after tractor. The main thing which steered me towards modiying it was the price of the scrapper. I paid ?24.00 for this e27n,a corgi supermajor which is mint and acorgi mf 65 with bucket. I ahve allready sold the corgi supermajor so the e27n doesn't owe me a penny.
  22. The rear linkage works with the lever which you can just see Here is the E27n before I started work on it.
