Not seen this one before Steve
Counties / Roadless / Doe based ford 4wd conversions rule
Ever done anything with a lambourne cab???
This is one from the old photos I have shown you before I think .
No I haven't done a Lambourn cab ,somebody else on the forum has built a cracking one .
It really is the bees knees .
Its made for the supermajors etc .
-
heres another one borrowed from troisieme point, it looks very impressive with the sprayer something like ud see on a carrot farm or something
Thats smart .What sort of tractor is it ?It has Britains wheels and linkage .Is it a 165 ?
-
Thats the problem these days, it can cost ?50 in bits to do a decent convo of a tractor before you add your time.?
Yes thats why I have never tried to get too serious about conversions .
-
thats class really is one of the best

Thanks Alan .I have built 4 or 5 of these over the last 3 years .
I find it difficult to get the base tractors cheap enough to make it cost effective .
-
i wont say what my reaction was?
it kind of jumps out at you
Yes I built it to see how a potential County 1474 would look like if I used a TW20 .
-
shes cool
Cheers for that mate
-
I do like those wheels, was it a quick job?
Yes ,not too bad .These were cheap to build because the big Fords were still about for sale when I made these .
Now it costs more to get the base tractors .
-
I know and don't you sell it now?
No ,you have first look at my conversions now .
-
Different again Steve, nice job too by the look of it, i do like those air intake/cleaners.?
Yes I have one of them half built at the moment .
-
What now?
No ,I am waiting for him to get back to me so I can pop over to his place .
I built him the County and Roadless and also a NH TM165 mounted on Renault Cergos chassis .
I may have made him aDoe 5100 as well ,I can't remember .
-
Keep um coming as we love seeing em!?
OK ,I need to get to another mates house to take pics of County 1474 and Roadless 94T .
-
I like that model anyway from Britains although the Siku one is better so Marky says, what alterations mods have you done there then Steve?
Its basically a Britains 6290 mounted on a Britains Case mx135 chassis .I added the siku front linkage and beacon for effect .
-
VERY VERY NICE NOW YOUR TALKING?
I am surprised you liked that one .its not one of my favourites really .
-
Very nice is a coversion from a yellow county
No from a Ford 8730 .
-

-
you have made a lot of conversions there steve. over how many years.
:P
:P
I did most of these about 3 years ago ,and have been fairly quiet since bar the odd one here and there .
These were all built for myself but I sold them to fund buying DDNs .
-

Yes but on these early tractors a lot of parts are original .
-

Just one thing, now you know i'm a massive fan but being the perfectionist that you and dont take this the wrong way but personally i'm not sure about the decals there, did they come from BN or did you genearate them yourself. harsh i know?
Yes ,home made decals on that one and most of the old ones in fact .
I have been to my mates tonight and photographed all of the ones I sold him .
