  1. deere-est, am afraid they are glued on solid, too fragile to make them slide as the shed gets knocked about when transporting it to shows ect, but set so they look as if they move.

the 40 series is a 7740 by DT, if you look closley the exhaust is missing as it fell off as i was placing it on the layout, glued back on now thoe. I am in the middle of making a? ford/newholland 8340 after seen how the 7740 was done, got a resin 6cyl bonnet ect for it.

Are the resin 6cyl bonnets available to buy from anybody ?

Hope youi don't mind me asking but I would love to build a 40 series Ford/NH .

  2. I may well try my hand at something very simple sometime... I am wrestling with myself at the moment as I always do things at full speed ahead... I think it's the industry I'm in? :(

I really am trying to sit back, relax and enjoy this hobby and force myself not to try to do too much too soon.? One half of me is in a busting hurry to see some results and the other half is saying take you time - work slowly and enjoy yourself.? Sorry if I'm boring you but it helps me get things in perspective if I type it on here...

Now doctor Udi can I get of the couch now? ???

Yes I can also relate to that Marky ,

I may be working on one tractor and suddenly I think of an idea for something else and then I'm off onto another .

In no time at all theres 3 tractors in bits ! ::)

  3. how much would it be worth with a replacement axle & or just as it is ?

Well its a more unusual version because its a late blue/orange one with the lugs for the Shawnee Poole dump trailer .

I haven't got one of this type and I would have given my friend ?40 for it as it was .

It is debatable for the value ,it depends how much someone is willing to pay for it .

I may pay more than someone else .Somebody else would throw a model like this away

  4. They look great, think i need educating on the vintage Dinky & Corgi models as i always thought they were not up to much, Britains is best and all that until the new UH/Siku era of course? ;)

I think there is a lot of potential with the older corgi and dinky stuff .

They can be converted the same as anything else .

Just on a smaller scale .

  5. It's the corgi I'm talking about, I have one that needs a few bits doing to it.... If I could get a cab for it I would go to the expense of having it done.

How about cutting off the mudgaurds ,changing the wheels adding a linkage to suit other stuff .

Follow that with a repaint in chocolate brown and orchid white ,make some new decals ,add some round Britains Ford 5000 Supermajor mudgaurds and make a 1200 .

Hang on a minute ,that was going to be a future project for me !! :o

  6. I was going to say around the 100 quid mark but unpainted DONT paint it.

My customer wants this restored .I can't argue with the customer ,the customer is king ;)

I would have left it if it was mine though .

I will post up a picture later to show progress .
