  1. the duals in the catalogue picture have full wheel centres and unrealistic.the only tractors of that horsepower in the uk with full centred dual wheels would have been a county with countys dual wheel system.smaller older fergusons could have dual wheels to gether on extended wheel nuts but that wouldnt stand the horsepower . even if it is supposed to represent dual wheels on extended studs the wheel centres would be the wrong way round for this to happen. the first snap-on type dual wheels i remember are opico ones as shown in atte pics.
  2. hope the 1250 comes out on opico type duals not as shown in the catalogue pic
  3. mf 1250 shown has different duals to earlier pics

  8. the britains versions had same issues over decals resulting in different versions
  9. looks like the new holland might come with interchangeable weights/front linkage and removeable duals will be a big bonus if it does
  10. shame not too after the excellent job on the ford
  11. we use to get people using the stumpy clevis drawbar as a pickup hitch, to save changing over to the hook. it of course stuck out further often caused tractors to bounce on the road and often resulted in shearing off the pick up hitch/drawbar bolts undernath the tractor resulting in carnage. eg leaving drawbar aND TRAILER BEHIND ITS AMAZING HOW FAR HYDRAULIC PIPES CAN STRETCH . EVEN SEEN THE WHOLE BACK END RIPPED OUT OF A 7810.
  12. perhaps down to price and charging of extras at the time of sale???, perhaps you never needed stumpy drawbar and used pick up hitch for trailer work and long drawbar for trailed pto driven kit?.
  13. all ford 10 series with four wheel drive had two stumpy drawbars one as clevis hitch and one as pick up hitch, the long drawbar couldnt be used pushed right in as the drop box wasin the way. the long drawbar could be used as just that! eg a long drawbar for balers and pto driven implements. the combination of a short drawbar and a long drawbar was the only way to get a wide range of drawbar lengths. two wheeldrive tractors had a long reversible drawbar with clevis hitch one end and pick up hitch hook on the other end.
  14. a very fine model the seat cushions look blueish??? that would be wrong, also has pointed out the clevis drawbar was removed when using pick up hitch. the trouble is the one shown on the tractor is a longer drawbar for a two wheel drive tractor . fwd tractors had a short drawbar because the fourwheel drive transfer box.
  15. the silver jubilee that went out of the depot i worked for had tinted windows, air con, radio cassette, quick attach lower link ends, four spool valves, twin assistor rams, performance monitor, front mudguards and full set of weights.
  16. conversion heaven for the massey brigade duals onto the mf1200 and 590 tractors and 1200 singles onto the 1250
  17. smaller versions were used in the uk behind crawlwler tractors in fifties and sixties 2/3/4 furrows. ti believe they were manufactured here under licence to bonnel where as bonnel sold own ploughs in europe
  18. swim with your mouth closed and dont swallow anything that floats
