  1. definitely sensitivity control for draught control on the small lever, the quadrants for the levers should be marked for their respective uses , cast into them. ifrom memory the lever nearest seat does draught ,position and auxiliary selection. the lever nearest mudguard is raise and lower .
  2. wouldnt it be a shame for agco to find out about franchised dealerships selling these models at over inflated /above RRP- IT WOULD SERVE THEM RIGHT - WHAT A SHAME
  3. petits were built at moulton, before becoming a manufacturer they were also contractors too

  5. might need a pto adaptor from sparex if te 20 has smaller pto output shaft on the tractor
  6. i lived in norfolk as a lad, norfolk /suffolk borders the farm shared sugar beet harvesting equipment. the crop was drilled with 12 row webb drill behind IH 584, the harvesting was by standen multi beet two stage system . a pair of three row trailed toppers were used behind MF 135 tractors- the two multi beet lifters operated behind MF590 and JD2130 two wheel drive tractors respectively. Carting were MF1200 laterly MF1250, Ford 7600 & 7700, MF168 and JD 2130. Quite a lot of action when all the gang were in one field!.
  7. no good for bubble cab conversions it is not as simple as changing a roof. the mudguards are different and the biggest difference is the force 11 and generation 111 super q cabs were flat deck cabs . 3600 -to- 7600 had straddle mount cabs totally different!, the flat deck super q could be converted to flat deck bubble cab for 6700 upwards .
  8. doesnt the two range topping 7000 series mf tractors have the heavy duty rear axle with hubs on rear axle? i thought they had different rear axle to the lower horsep[ower versions
  9. just caught with this subject excellent news about these releases. The ford 7810 was a top selling tractor out of the dealership i was at the time , we even shifted one jubilee model. The 7910 shared same engine but of course had bigger radiator and a more open core, the 7910 also had 7710 rear axle the same as a 7810. they were not a de-rated 8210 as the 8210 had a stronger rear axle / extra planet in a heavier rear axle reduction. The four wheel drives with carraro axles were very reliable tractors - the former ZF front axles were troublesome in many ways. I believe the prototype was later re fitted with sq cab for the smithfield show , i have some original leaflets by SEM for the prototype fitted with Seckura LP CAB.
  10. blenhiem estates use to have county 1124 with a bomford sapper snow blade like that, in summer they adapted a puhoff buck rake for the subframe for on the clamp. if the clamp was well rolled the county could climb nearly vertical
  11. i think the pelican rigs were built by dave rose engineering, he took on belarus franchise to enable him to build his complete rigs, he was an ex mf mechanic from what was boston tractors.
  12. Wizzler was Bamfords name for their mowers in the sixties, they built them under licence from PZ Zweegers from holland, they also imported their own liveried machines into the uk. The Bamford wizzlers were actually drum mowers with both two and four drum versions of wizzlers depending on width of cut. Fahr and PZ were main drum mower importers late 60s early seventies. Indeed NH and Kuhn were early importers of disc mowers often called flying saucer mowers, some of the better known disc mowers and disc mower conditioners were the hesston PT7D with steel crimping rollers and Vicon OLMPUS mower conditioning rollers very successful widely used bits of kit. Mid eighties/early nineties saw Kuhn mower conditioners and john deere versions gain popularity and hit Vicon sales hard, being in the machinery trade they were more reliable than the Vicon machines. The other big name were of course TAARUP again very good machines the auto swather very popular bits of kit, other manufacturers offered groupers for their mower conditioner. The first self propelled mower i recall was built by AGRIMECH a grass drying company who also built their own range of Grasshopper mowers excellent but power hungry mowers. The Agrimech self propelled was called Locust and based on a New Holland self propelled forager which had suffered a major feed housing failure so was converted into a mower.
  13. thats about there true worth - not the usual over inflated e-bay hype price
  14. very pricy for what it is- a modern livery on an old trailer both incorrect - but ok as a toy. To put a value on something like this is hard, yes its britains -that dont make it gold dust. even at this e bay price its too dear for a conversion . depends what its wanted for? i certainly wouldnt give more than its release price!. Now correct reprensentations and correct branding is a different matter.
  15. ok its an item made by britains so if you collect britains as a brand its collectible!. The original Britains version i believe was based on a Warwick trailer- Cannot see the collectibility in a claas livery version of a very old toy.Technically speaking if it was based on a Warwick trailer then all the mf versions cannot be true representations of real mf trailers.
  16. keep plugging away itll happen ben. what pleased me today ? some yobbo lads from the village have been riding a quad bike everywhere they so chose and frightening livestock. i glad to have played a part in reporting there activities and they have had there quad bike confiscated and injunction slapped on them.
