Spalding Model Tractor Show - 2nd October
Massey Boys Mum replied to Andy's topic in Events and Shows
I am so disappointed not to see any of you .... :'( -
Congratulations - So what is your secret and what is the job?
-
And I would like to make it longer by adding my thanks to those members of FTF who have given up their valuable time to give such sound, positive and frank advice. Another suggestion - what about volunteering to fill that gap on your CV? As David said Young Farmers are always looking for help. What else do you enjoy apart from farming? There are loads of volunteering jobs and most pay travel costs etc. Have a try on http://www.do-it.org.uk/ and see what comes up. hope you are successful and keep us all informed, best wishes from Auntie Jo

Have you been to the GP? Don't want to alarm you, but I had something similar a few years ago and it turned out to be a horrible infection that I got from swimming in a river in France. I had all the sypmtoms that you describe. It could only be treated with strong anti-biotics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giardia I hope you get better soon.

Massey boy's Farming Pictures 2011 Combining UPDATED AUGUST 28TH

I agree Cerin, really good photos. I like the way you are trying for a different 'feel' to some of your shots. To follow David, my personal favourite is the Deutz with the engine house ruin in the top left hand corner - so evocative of Cornish farming. -
Cerin's getting a good supply of Bonio biscuits for you Mark .....

Royal Cornwall Show 2011 9th, 10th and 11th of June

Gosh that means I met someone famous today ... his hair looked perfect to me, in fact he looked very well indeed I thought. The back of Cerin's head was on Spotlight yesterday ... not a hair out of place, I am pleased to report that he was keeping up the standard that we expect from our FTF men. He is staying the night at the showground tonight - guarding all that Krone kit (well that's what he told me!) I forgot to report that I met 'Mr Bloom' at the show yesterday, Harry will know who he is! -

You are so right Sue - one of the best things about being involved in Conservation is that you can have a wild (untidy!) garden and not feel at all guilty. Make sure your nettle patch is in full sun, then you will attract Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock Butterflies. I made some good contacts today - including the Cornwall FWAG (Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group) offered to host an event for us that will help and inform farmers on how to have more of the grassland butterfly species on their land. I also listened to the 'Fishermans Friends' perform - they were excellent! -

I am going every day, and Cerin has to fit a GCSE in on Friday as well as being on his boss's stand selling top-knotch equipment and agricultural engineering services. I am also going to promote Butterfly Conservation to any farmer/landowner/small-holder that will listen to me! -

Luckily, our Mum and Dad had 26 children - comes in handy for erecting large erections!
