  1. Unkelfergus's face when he realised that that the daffodil field was, in fact, as Massey Boy the Cornish Farmer had stated, an oil seed rape field!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  2. How sad for you all. Hold her hand and tell her that you love her. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
  3. Well done Mandy! And you got our favourite yank posting again - girl power or what?
  4. Ok - what would help with this? As you know, the resources available on FTF are limitless and amazing. Personally, I would recommend one of Aunty Sue's group hugs as a starter !
  5. Looked like a lot of fun folks. Sue - I was SOOOOOO pleased to see you wearing Rick's hat - he will be delighted.
  6. Now I would say you should be on it - reason? because often places come up that are specific to certain areas and you have to have a proper local connection or something like that - if you are not on the list then you will NEVER be considered. It costs nothing - just a bit of time for form filling etc and also is an insurance policy for the future. Cornwall is one of the worst areas to get housing in the whole country but I have known people get housing even down here - you never know how things will turn out. Good luck with your viewing!
  7. Are you on a housing list anywhere for permanent housing Mark? A lot of people are in very unsatisfactory housing with dodgy landlords. Just a thought ...sincerely, Aunty Jo
  8. Thank goodness you had your parents there David - that's a lot of tractors .... we are looking forward to seeing them all!
  9. Going to the beach with Unkelfergus and family - we are going to try and make a sand sculpture of a tractor - anyone done this before? Photographs?
  10. Fanbloody tabulous in Cornwall! Sun and sunsets dripping with gold!
  11. Thanks - That sounds amazing - can you bring a couple along to Royal Cornwall if you are coming this year?
  12. Another aspect of this that would be really interesting is if anyone knows who the people are driving and what they are up too now? A kind of 'then and now'? Just a random thought ....
  13. Really felt for you on this Mark - Have you located the missing mirror yet? Check the bottoms of the girls shoes!!
  14. Lady F is right - this is the only soap that I watch! Worried about the shepherd - he's so pale? He's been indoors for too long - needs to get out more!
  15. Unkelfergus, Aunty Fergus, Smelly Exhaust all arrived safely in Cornwall for their annual holiday - GREAT to see them - only missing Crazy Kev! who will be with us on Monday.
  16. That skewbald looks well frisky - watch it doesn't frighten those calves!
  17. To hear on the local radio news this morning about the death of the young man on a farm in Padstow. His tractor crashed through a wall by a slurry pit and he was trapped. Our thoughts are with his family and his friends. So sad, so very sad.
  18. Can I be the first to bag that item before Bill bags it for his shed museum? It will come in very handy for some spells I would like to try ....
  19. A most happy 16th birthday to Richard! Now you are sixteen you can do a lot of things: At 16 You can have a full time job if you have officially left school. You need to remember that you can't work full time until the last Friday in June - even if you have turned 16 before this. You can live independently, subject to certain conditions being met. You can get married with your parents' or guardians' consent. You can ride a moped of up to 50ccs. You can pilot a glider. You must be 16 before you can legally have sex, whether that's with someone of the same sex or opposite sex. You can have an abortion without your parents consent. A boy can join the armed forces with his parents' or carers' consent. You can apply for your own passport. You can have beer or cider whilst eating a meal in a restaurant or an eating area of a pub, but not in the bar.
