  1. Well it depends on why you are interested! Especially as this is your first post. Your profile does not give away much about you o'smellyexhaust person! What tractors do you like? However, I will tell you that I have never found a WHOLE TRACTOR with my detector - only bits!
  2. Now.... metal detecting... that's interesting... can we have a dedicated topic please Aunty Jo... I'd like to see how you do it.. what you've found.. what machine you use etc etc... I am but a mere beginner Marky - do you think it would interest other people? When we moved into our current house, which has a large garden, I thought I would give it the once over with my detector. I got amazing signals all over the lawn - really sharp ones which indicate non-ferrous metal. Being that it's Cornwall, visions of buried pirates hoards of gold started to fill my head. I began a frenzied dig, got down about six inches and I saw it! Long, coiled and orange, rather like an enormous snake - I pulled it and it kept coming! It was then that I remembered that the previous owner of the house was a very successful electrician! I left it all in situ because scrap wasn't getting much of a price then - however, I may have to dig it all out as the prices are much better now!
  3. Can we have a photo of Fred please Sue? I think they are the most amazing creatures - we used to see loads when we were kids. Has he ever had a 'friend' to practice his second track with?
  4. Happy Birthday to you - them3kid! I don't know you but 21 is an excellent age to be - well done, hope you enjoyed yourself!
  5. Now, I'm not being funny but none of you have probably ever seen a Handel witch! They only occur on small farms in Cornwall and they only attack teenagers who have spent all week being rude to their mothers. Their mothers that have taken them to work and picked them up every day without complaint, even though she's on holiday and has better things to do like metal detecting!
  6. Nice light in the pictures. Maybe we should have a FTF poetry competition? a poem that mentions a farm toy ... why not!
  7. I am pretty sure it's an oak tree! I like trees and all wildlife really. I also like the Co-op - it is the best shop near us in Cornwall - also pretty ethical and uses free range eggs in all products so I don't have to read all the packaging! Enjoyed your details about yourself - would be interesting if all the FTF people did that!! Keep taking the photos you have clearly got the talent.
  8. You know what they were doing Sean? I reckon it was the Plymouth Fake Snow team trying to make it happen just for you!
  9. What a beautiful tree Walter Derwent! Your photos are great. I hope you don't mind me asking - what age are you? It does not say on your profile!
  10. Life can be difficult - try and concentrate on all the good things in your life such as the tractors you love best (Mc Cormick and Landini? Would this be right?) Aunty Jo
  11. This could be an excellent new business idea - why not give it a go on Dragons Den?
  12. wow! we have a member that can connect psychically with tractors - this could be useful - Adam, why don't you connect with Fanny again and get her to run away ....
  13. Actually.. I'm pretty glad to be rid of her really... bloody waste of money... 22 hours in 2.5 years :D
  14. Do we have any FTF members in Anglesey Simon? We should be trying to help him - I don't think your idea of covering Fanny with s**t is the best way forward!
  15. Marky - who is the nearest FTF member to the dealership that Fanny's gone to? I was just thinking that he/she could take some photos of her in her new home and this could go a long way to you feeling better about the whole thing? Throwing your welly after a tractor is highly symbolic and you could get repercussions in later life for doing something like that - appropriate counselling is needed NOW - don't make the mistake of thinking you are over it .... from a friend.
  16. Seeing how well made Cerin's scratch -built standen pearson bed former was! (after he had explained exactly what it was!)
  17. Now that you are the special age of fourty-two All the Massey's you ever dreamed of will come to you! Happy Birthday from snowy Cornwall!
  18. Was this in your bookmarked favourites Simon? Seriously worrying how this topics going ....
