  1. the first cab it has to be mate , the second still looks wrong
  2. it's primerily used for deep ploughing , more than two of these moldboards would make that poor little tractor strugle moreso than it already did \ look carefully at the depth of the furrow it's making , damn site deeper than a normal plough would go , the body is a fill digger share
  3. i've got that pic at home somewhere nigel i'll see if i can find it sometime . the TV add was always on after the sunday farming on telly , the shot was a low level camera shot towards two men in case ih overalls pulling open the doors of an aircraft hangar , to reveal the two tractors inside . :)

    At work with Gav

yer right again ricky , the idea is to put more weight on the tractor for more grip i'd have thought . hope things will work out here for you gav , a bit more restrained than the contractors workload

  7. this wouldn't have been good enough in harry fergusons day you know
  8. not got a problem with the wheels on the 35 scott right then , my uncle brian, worked for southwestern farmers , a big massey agent back in the day , & aparently the original batch of red giants had red wheels , but doesn't remember the serial numbers they were changed at , other than that silver wheels were adopted within the first 6 months of manufacture. another reason for the wheel colour may have been the full intergration of massey harris & the ferguson brands , as the 35 was also massey harris's last tractor , badged as the MH 50 i'm led to believe also with different tinwork but don't quote me on that :D

  12. are you going to cast a dozen of the 300series & 3600series to sell at toytrac sean ?
  13. aaaarrrggghhh not alll that again \ leave them silver/ grey ,looks the part :) seriously good work steve ,put the narrower wheels on mate , some from the later britains period though as they have a small amount of tread on . just like seans 185 ,it looks mighty fine :)
  14. just some friendly encouragement sean,we just want you to get it right as in right now , c'mon get them wheels on & get the pics up ,me & marky are suffering here \ :D :D
  15. like the look of that dave , does the rear conveyor move from side to side or is your version fixed ? the idea isn't to remove the stones from the field completely . once the bed tiller & formers have made their pass you're left with ridges / beds approx 18 -24in deep & 68 -70 in's across, the destoner them makes a pass along the 'beds' effectively sieving the soil, the stones & clods that don't fall through the web on the destoner , get dropped onto the conveyor at the rear of the machine & then dropped into the wheel marks , thus the stones don't damage the potatoes as they grow or during harvesting pic 6 is the destoner working http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=7565.0

  23. haveing looked at the pic of them together sean , it doesn't look bad at all , i'm just not keen on the tyres , maybe the britains tyres wouldn't be too big me thinking ?after all a 2680 had the same wheel sizes as the 699 anyway
