  1. best get some of that new fandangled machinery out of the yard then mate , else the cowman will kick off big time when he see's what you've built him
  2. you going to try a herringbone , abrest, triangular or revolving parlour OF ? i spose if you made it modular you could put whatever in to match the time & scene you wanted to create
  3. did you get a blue peter badge for that then tris ? :D
  4. jibber ! judging by the colour of the unit ,is it a convo for nath ? looks well smart does that , i agree with tris , get it all matched with the unit as there are some smart cattle wagons around , like DAVEYS of Launston ..proper right then luke ...............................................a word in your ear young man stralis indeed
  5. yeah in a serial killer kind of way :D nice work lass
  6. no but it's a bugger to move around the yard :D those fords look so much better than the 10 series
  7. yeah but OF has been eating coffee granules straight out of the jar for the last 3 weeks & he's hasn't stopped since :D
  8. i took on a council farm luke , but the land was clay & was wet so a 2wd would have struggled i ended up with a CASE 1494 with a QD case loader
  9. unlikely luke , i know mike reasonably well but he does most of his work over the other side of the blackdowns ,as for the others i don't really get a chance to see them out & about , i'll see if i can get some pics of andrew carters gear when he's going
  10. contractors seem to come & go round here luke , it seem just as they get the right size , they get more new kit & never seen again, it's also harder to get reliable staff during the busy periods . ,michale hine & graham farmer seem to have it worked out though as graham's got some good uptogether kit,as does mike , . Mike & graham's son, ian , married daughters(sisters) of a large dairy farmer so when things get busy , they all pull together as one team to get the job done ,when it slackens off they go back to doing their own thing . most af the small contractors seem to specialise ,so they're not in direct competition with each other
  11. 82 tipping while JaCuB waits in the shed with a MF 240 rolling ,tight up under the roof
  12. nice pics ricky got all that silage material off a treat mate, & love the mowers :) :) As well as an arable out fit winterhayfarms has a side line in rearing on hefiers & some store cattle , so when silage comes around all available kit is used to get it in & done quickly, foraging is done with the farms own second hand jag 695 mega & usually covers approx 250-300 acres per year.
  13. do they ? siku usually send you the replacement part for free ! bens got a whole warehouse full of free wheels & tyres \
  14. someones been diggin in the bowels of the forum ? well done FNHIR, really enjoyed that , great pics & a great write up as well , got a load of pics a while back but i think i fell on a few fences , will be up & running again soon though , so for me at least going is good to firm r5 pu3 w2

  16. brilliant................................................. 1 question in & straight off topic :D :D :D sooooooooooooooooooooooo funny :D :D LMAO IN TEARS :D :D so bill what did you recon to the result in the FA cup final how about the parts question ,my learned friend put to you ?
  17. dorset council used to have 5610's + AP cabs with loaders for yard work & were kept very clean & original ,as most were only used for loading road salt i once looked at an H reg, low hours, scrubed tyres though would have gone for it ,but i needed a 4wd.
  18. how did i miss this topic , some great pics there luke , thanks for posting them are there many large contractors in your area ? James F SP drivers have cottoned on that it's easier to see whats going on when you look to your right , all your controlls are grouped there , so you naturally turn that way , remember what a pain in the neck (literally) it was to keep looking at the trailers over on your left, when using a trailed forager \
  19. turned out rather well i recon ben the colour finishes it nicely , will you be atempting another like this , or go for the cakhanded mdf ones like i do :D
  20. if it's rugedness you want the diesel linde 2.5t would be a good choice , the nissan / cat trucks are good up to 1.5 tons . i liked them for indoors as they are very manuverable & the have toggle switches for controls .
  21. smurf to the rescue ........................................after the event :D :D looking labouriously good mate
  22. they look smart with the paint on OF , how many did you make altogether ?
  23. you certainly did mate :D that looks really well finished , are you going to put bigger wheels on it ?
  24. for your sirt of stuff marky you need a linde with 2.5t capacity , branstons have 5-6 ,i think braggs have one as well ,handles the boxtipper no probs , that would be my personal choice. a lot of what you pay for with JCB is the name , the machine is not nesissarily better , in my view buy some thing built by the people who know
