It's the ploughing match season here in Devon and yesterday it was the Cheriton Fitzpaine and District Club's event. A great day out, the weather was perfect. I took a few pictures but this morning a professional photographer who was at the event has posted a whole host of photos on their Facebook page which are far better than mine so I've posted the link below for anyone interested. https://www.facebook.com/media/set?vanity=AerialDimensions&set=a.4664881913604949 They will also be posting video at a later date. Enjoy P

Also present was Devon & Cornwall Constabulary's Claas Atos 350 which has been loaned by the local dealer Hambley's. It's used by the Force to raised awareness of rural crime and security of farm equipment. Looks good all dressed up in dayglo with flashing lights!

Had an chance to call in for a couple of hours this morning on this local event. A lot of 135's, grey fergies, Internationals etc that you see at such events but no Dexta's which I find odd. There were a few unusual tractors working - Nice old Fordson N with a trailled plough A very nice Zetor 5545 4wd A Fendt Farmer 2 A very neat Iseki 530

Many thanks Joe for the tip and info. So I'm number 202, I'll remember that. Holding the cursor over the avatar doesn't seem to work on my pc, iMac/Safari, so it looks as if it only works on a Windows machines? P

That looks like poor packing on the part of the sender to me. I've sent over 2000 parcels by Hermes and only had one problem with damage. People do not seem to realise how packages are handled by all delivery companies - conveyor belts are not equipped with kid gloves!! -
How high will these two go? Four days left........... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174099064523 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163948728204 And then there's this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163948742250 P

I had one of those sets, and I think the MF combine set as well. Each model was packed in a brown card wrapper and then boxed. IIRC you had to pack in a specific pattern to fit them in. P

Barry's Weise-Toys collection - Standard models 1000
PDH replied to Barry's topic in Share Your Collection
Very nice Barry, I do like a collection with a theme. One thing, wasn't the very first issue of the Weise Fendt 515c released with a Siku type linkage? Not sure if it was the rear linkage only that was a Siku type or both. From the photos all yours seem to have the same type of front linkage. In the listing I keep of my farm collection I have the following entry - Weise-Toy1001Fendt Favorit 515c with Siku Linkage Unfortunately my collection is still in storage following our house move so I can't check. Thats why on eBay its better to increase the item price and offer free shipping. You can 'hide' an high shipping cost and you are more likely to get a sale because of the free shipping. Shipping cost is one of the feedback factors and a low score for perceived high postage can impact badly. BTW it costs about 75 pence to a pound to properly pack a UH tractor for shipping to a UK address. You just have to do your research and shop around for the materials. Also if the selling cost is under £25 with MyHermes you don't need the signed for charge as its tracked all the way and that's good enough for eBay. MyHermes are issuing new machines to their delivery people, if they call and there is no one at home to take delivery they have to take a photo(s) of where they leave the parcel.

Sorry haven't a clue as to who he is but I would say his UK shipping charge is expensive, only costs £2-60 to sent one of these via MyHermes. I hope he is insuring them for more than the standard compensation amount and wrapping well for that shipping cost. P

Picked up the new Claas 850 Axion by USK from the local dealer yesterday. Nice model though to me the original Wiking Axion 850 is very slightly better. A few photos so you can make your own minds up!! -

Thanks Robbo. I'll add that to my eBay Watch List and make a decision after it ends. Initial inclination is to display one and keep the other for another day, when I need the cash. It's good to see something appreciating in value. Also got the MF, Fendt and Challenger combines UH produced also in dealer boxes. Anyone aware if these are 'appreciating' as well? Thanks for the help. P
