  5. you really have been busy then rich, i went to nottingham many years ago when the 10 series was big on the market. its good to see what goes on at the dealers, makes a change to just seeing working equipment. or whats out on the yard. have you had many problems with the 7R series? ive heard quite a few havnt been put together properly
  6. cheers mate, yeah hes got a lovely machine, it could do with a butterfly mower set to finish it off though. glad you're still busy, how are you getting on?
  7. well collegfe have harvested their first 25 acres of silage. the silage was started at 8 in the morning and we didnt finish until 8:45 in the evening. i was taking photos and ended up doing an 8 hour shift due to one of the drivers having to go to a meeting. we had a breakdown that set us back 2 hours due to having to go and get parts for the chopper. the grass was also that long and damp that the chopper was blocking every 10-15m and when we were going well we were only moving at 1.5 mph.
  8. well its been quite a while since i posted any photos in this topic. first i will start with some recent photos of the maize drilling at college. they were power harrowing with 2 3metre kuhn power harrows on the back of JD 6920 S and 6530. they were planting with a JD 7530 with 8 row accord maize drill
  9. no, your opinion is much welcomed. i like to here the thoughts of other as i know where to improve on the editing and photography
  10. Here is what happens when i take a photo and upload it to the laptop. you can see the original and the finished product. many of the people i do photography for much prefer the finished product to to the enhanced colours. what do you think?

  13. Hi, i was wondering if anybody was looking for a summer worker as i am finishing my college course in a few weeks time and there are unfortunalty no work placements in my area as all the Harper Adams university students have taken them. i am willing to travel anywhere in the country as long as there is accomodation as im not driving. i will try my hand at pretty much anything and i have a RANGE of experience doing different jobs from machinery work to yard work. i have worked with sheep, large dairy and large arable i will work with sheep but no shearing as i am useless. i have worked on dairy farms for over 3 years so know the basics and have done a bit of everything involved from feeding and milking to disbuding and vaccinating. i have worked on some large arable farms aswell and i am used to using a broom, shovel and pressure washer. i have some experience with ploughing, min till cultivations, muck spreading, slurry injecting, mowing, carting various crops, clamping silage. i have used a range of tractors i.e john deere, new holland & massey ferguson ranging from 80hp - 250hp. i am used to working long days and nights if required and have worked up to 90 hour weeks. i also work well in teams or by myself i am available full time from the beggining of june onwards. if anybody is interested or knows anybody interested message me on here for contact details or if you require my cv or refferences. any help would be much appreciated jordan
  14. i had a fantastic time while i was there, i even caught chicken pocks for a 2nd time but it didnt stop me working or enjoying myself. i would like to go out there again. i enjoyed working on the sheep units and im not really a stockman im more of an arable lad but i really enjoyed it. they seem to be able to handle larger numbers of stock allot faster and with less stress. in 3 hours on one sheep farm 6 of us were able to drench and vacinate for anti abortion over 1000 ewes. we would struggle to do that in a day at college with a full group of us. all the farms in general seem to be clean and tidy and for the size they are very quiet. the staff all seem very relaxed and layed back. the stock throughout the country is very clean and stress free.
  15. the college i go to are about to cut about 30 acres due to having nothing left in the clamp so it will be mixed with what little amount of maize is left and fed .
  16. another MF 390 but not in as good a condition but a nice find though. and more rangle of old and new kit
  17. well one thing i have noticed with farms in new zealand is that they dont like loaders but are all for the loader tractor i also found this mint condition massey ferguson 390 loader tractor at a local new holland dealer. and surprisingly for an older tractor in new zealand it actually had a full cab and not just a bit of plastic above the seat
