  2. and last for now, one of the many 7530's that work own on the maize. but what a machine for carting
  3. well here is a bit of an update. work have some heffiers at a farm just down the road from the farm. and he has a few old sheds and kit. he has this massey ferguson 565 2wd with TRIMA loader and he also owns a massey ferguson 135. the cat challenger is owned by a farmer again up the road from work. he also owns the new rogator sprayer and runs a hell of a fleet of masseys. and the new demo tractor at work. a case ih cvx puma 230 with Ad-Blue. its a superb machine and i must admit i think the boss is keen on buying one to run along side the 4 7530's and the other case 225
  4. we use them at work and college, we have silage in the one at college and maize in the one at work, there really good but they need to be on concrete pads othwise you just make a mess with them.
  5. wow, i better get more hours in at work as im going to have an empty account balance after i buy some of these models really looking foward to the kuhn rake, mower and wrapper, lemken plough, massey 240, pichon tanker (for conversion), and other dependant on quality and detail no more root kit from ROS yet though, im surprised they havnt got something like a de-stoner or tiller planned to be revealed at a show like this
  6. now thats a trailer that would look good on many a model tractor the front weights are a nice addition too although they will probably cost an aran and a leg knowing wiking
  7. what a beauty that case is i was ploughing at college today and then ended up carting beet. there were 3 of us ploughing, me in a jd 6530 with 4f plough, and 2 other lads in a new holland T6020 with 3f kvernland & jd 6230 with 3f dowdeswell i ended up dropping the plough off and started carting beet when he filled the first trailer
  8. claas lexion 600 teratrac with corn header john deere 7430 with crimper (just infront of the lexion) really nackered valtra valme with loader and at college john deere 6530 with 4f plough john deere 6534 with 11ton samson muck spreader john deere 6230 with 3f plough new holland t6020 with 3f plough
  9. another superb year i thought even though i felt numbers were lower than usual loved the displays and meeting up with everybody again agree with everybody else with it being a freindly atmosphere. just calnt wait for next year i kept mandy and fraser in business by buying plenty of materials for my new scenes and i recomend the new bales and feed barriers as i got some and there great. the scenic producs are also superb and they are sitting ready to go into a scene i also bought an international 1455XL and MF 5430 steepnose from UTS which i am very happy with and possibly my favorite model ever is the Richard Western RC16 from Dan from Three Oaks Farm Models i will post some pictures soon
  10. ive worked for 2 of shropshires biggest spud growers. JRO Griffiths & Sons (grow around 17,000 tonnes per year) 1700 acres of spud ground JC & MW Suckleys (grow around 23,000 tonnes per year) 2500 acres of spud ground both supply walkers direct
  11. knowing my models and model farm have arrived safely at my new house i took the risk of getting my dad to move them for me due to me being at work but i boxed em up well and put plenty of bubble wrap around them cus he can be a tad clumsy at times biggest risk i think ive ever taken but it turned out ok
  12. i know, i had plenty planned for it aswell, it was and will be looking great when i get it set up again but mabee i can get to penrith with it,who knows other than that its just going to be sales this year for me
  13. good point tris, esspecially sumos, theyve been around for a while now and are a very well known brand and are widely used due to being such good machines. im surprised someone like universal hobbies havnt clocked on that for the british market this would be a big selling model looking foward to some of these releases esspecially the kockerling vector 620, a decent sized cultivator to look good behind my claas xerion 5000
  14. really dont know what to think of that fendt, there is something about it that just says no to be honest just calnt see me buying one of those but the rogator sprayer i will be purchasing no matter what the price is also one of the amazone drills due to having one at work and a new pichon tanker ROS are doing
  15. i would like something that pretty simple to maintain or repair if something goes wrong due to not having loads of time as i said though they have allot of kit just sitting there doing nothing mainly due to them buying bigger tractor so the smaller tractors and implements get shoved to the far corner of the yard. they have 2 shelbourne dual spreaders doing nothing, the county, an old industrial case with loader, variious implements and i feel when there sitting there doing nothing and being left to rust, i think there going to waste, i could invest some money and make some money from them. just becouse the farm have no use for them lads like myself can make the most of them
  16. its alright boys they have a 2140 at work sitting in the workshop so i might ask about both and see if hes willing to sell me one or the other he uses it on the straw chopper but im sure the county could cope with that but then id be happy with either. of scap both of them and have his massey 590 so much choice, just depends if hes willing to sell me any of them i mean the county is sitting there doing nothing, the 590 just sits on the slurry pump and never goes anywhere, and the 2140 is occsionally used on the straw chopper so they would not be too missed really, its not as if there doing allot between them
  17. cheers mate, got to be honest if i dont get this county i will most probably go for a ferguson or a massey 35x or 135.
  18. ive got to say ive seen recently an open cabed international 5?? that looked alright, i used an open cabed one at a previous work place once and i know there are very few in the country, shame i didnt get it
  19. ahh yes, id like to see it more as an investment and a project more than anything but also use it as a starter tractor for contracting as its got some power if the engine is still in working order. it allows me to get more work and have something to take responsibility for and make it my own. i know how much some people can spend on machines, my uncle has just had his massey ferguson 35x highway tractor restored and the loader too and it has set him back something rotten.
  20. where i am working now, there is lovely county 1184, it looks in good condition and it does not look like its been used for a while and if it has its only been pumping slurry as ther is a pump on the back, im tempted to make my bossan offer for it as i know there rare and id love to do it up get it resprayed ect.. over time and take it on tractor runs ect... but use it for work aswell, tedding, mowing, carting ect... its a powerfull little tractor and i feel it should still be working and an ideal machine to start a bit of contractiing with
  21. ill definatly be buying some at toytrac mate, anything for a good cause
  22. when i look at buying a vintage tractor i find fegusons are cheaper than all others even when in mint condition. fords and john deere models seem to be the most expensive even the really tatty ones does anybody know why this is??
  23. i can agree with you on the 35x, there great tractors, we have one at work on the scraper and its a superb tractor, it takes the buggies place when it broken and its used to get the cows in

    ROS 2011

ROS have really uped their game of late and after buying and being massivley impressed by the grimme GT170 i will definatly be purchasing a pichon tanker possibly 2 to convert 1
  25. hi i am very interested and have been interested in purchasing my own tractor for a while. im after a classic as they are a bit more in my price range than a £60,000 john deere or new holland ive been looking at ferguson TEA-20's and countys ect... and i was wondering from the experts or owners what you thought the best tractor would be to purchase for a first timer i want something that is quite easy to repair and run, parts are widely available ect.... i am looking to take it (wat ever i get) to vintage rallies and ploughing competitions as my uncle has an old 2f plough i could have any advice would be great
