  1. he had to stop advertising that he was making it as there was such a demand and at present i believe thers a waiting list of a few months so that will just tell you. i plan on getting two and together with my 3 agrium model trailers that will be my silage set up
  2. looks excellent Bill defiently a competitor to the like of Universal Hobbies quality top marks
  3. not sure about the sprung suspension fp and i agree nh2 the mud flaps really finish it, clooser to the summer il prob get one or two of them, i also have some agrium model trailers which ill post up when i go home they too are great fitted with break and tipping hoses, flotation tyres etc
  4. well i havent actuallly bought one from him yet, was looking into it a while back but its expensive so ill have to wait till i can afford it. cant remember the exact prive off hand now but i think its somewhere between ?80 - ?90, but you pay for what you get and it is top quality. its nearly totally scratch built except for the chassis which i think he used a joal log trailer
  5. o ps the top one wasnt fully finished hence the missing rails on the right side
  6. heres a model from Chris Irwin as ye can see it is fantastic, and virtually the exact same as the real trailer. notice the space between the back door and the floor as discussed in the "silage post"
  7. ive spent over ?100 on certain items, but generally i buy a shot of stuff in each go so it can often amount to over ?500 at a time which makes me sick thinking about it. if ?i see a good well built model thats detailed and would go with my collection i dont mind paying for it though and that especially goes for the conversions some of which are top class quality
  8. i wonder how long it will be before we see a contractor running a big x and a big m in the same outfit
  9. well herrons and i think redrock also have the flap, but for silage theres not really a need for it
  10. no it never does, because the sher weight of the grass will just pack it in there, when the harvester starts filling the trailer initiallly a bit may come out but that bit would be so small it would easily fit into your hands. even when tipping the trailer u must have it tipped fairly high before anything comes out
  11. hey ian, it just so happens ive them set up at home at the moment have been meaning to take a pic of them (with my new digital camera ) but just havent got round to it lately as ive been pretty busy, but when i go home on the weekend ill take some and post them up for you along with pictures of my silage outfit
  12. tractorman if your going making a kane they dont have any flap at the bottom of the back gate, just a space of about 4-5 inches between the bottom of the gate and the floor
  13. do they what, a shower that champagne flowed from, twas great, i could have married her, but i caught the farm manager taking her for a ride one day, my heart was broken, could never face her again :'(
  14. surprised to hear about the valtra we have a 8550 and shes the best tractor we have for pulling, even brought her to tractor pulling competitions a few times, only fault i have with her is her hitch is located too far underneath her, ive heard the new ones are good
  15. as ever looking very sweet tm, if i was you id make her a 7278
  16. what wheels is he using, did he just take off the tracks and use the same chassis, i like it anyway would look good on some of that big kit coming out
  17. its a pity the laws are going like that particularily with agri machinery, i can understand it around construction sites etc as thats different but think if i was living in nz that law would be regularily broken by me
  18. i wouldnt say jd are the most comfortable, my 6810 has air seat, but no way does it come close to a new holland 8360 or 8560, from the same years ie 99 they are way way more comfortable, and the tm's are even better
  19. ive gone down the A1 with full flotations on several times, talk about slow to build up speed
  20. i cant say how tall she was exactly, but i can tell you she was taller then me \ as for going on the road she used go just as she is there, in fact the picture with the two lads in it was taken just before we started the barley, we moved out of the yard about 10 mins after to the first field
  21. she was about 140hp-150hp mostly used for trailer work, bit of power harrowing working behind the 8270 with plough i posted earlier, then a nh 8560 would have a second power harrow pass over again to get ready for drilling, followed by a ts115 with drill and finally a 7840 rolling
  22. ;D ;D il tell you i was sorry to see her go she had coffee every morning for me and sometimes scrabled eggs, it was defidiently the most considerate tractor i ever had.................................... are we of topic
  23. you got it mark, it was like a mans best friend
