  1. on a similar note, we lend out the firms transit vans (all new last year) to employees on the basis that they replace whatever diesel they use, one guy used all 80litres and promptly refilled with unleaded, bye bye injector pump... happened to be the the one i was supposed to be borrowing this evening
  2. cheers Marky thought you'd know about the mystery massey.... she's from Victoria, BC canadia land.... her grandparents farmed but she's a city girl.. if you say so mate, i'm not very clued up on cows, the rare-breed burgers were very very tasty however! i'm not quite sure how to take that, but i'll probably take offence.

  5. greetings, went to ashby show today, excellent day out! and now for a selection of images.... alpacca... cows in the show angry looking longhorn bull me dressed for work, was whispering in the ears of some farmers i know about harlow bros poultry sheds and some horsey people about stables... the missus with her favourite of the vintage tractor line up... and the only one she was allowed to sit on!

  7. rope was "rated" at 2000kg. mini with no interior weighs a quarter of that, even with 70kg of lardy bum alex behind the wheel! i've a good mind to lynch someone at the local halfrauds with whats left of it!
  8. in all seriousness it was pull round or rear end the c2... i'd do the same again.
  9. it involves the tow rope breaking on the crest of a hill, and the car being towed overtaking the car towing it down the other side. i won't go into any more detail or Robbo will arrest me.

  13. 2 litre 16v vauxhall engine (150bhp!!!), gearbox, ECU, loom for the mini £200! 150bhp in 700kg..... haha!
  14. not got it yet, but the present owner didn't like the £900 on mates rates my friend and I quoted him to make it pass an MOT... so he's giving it to us to fix up and pay him when we sell it.... like this, but black roof, fibreglass extended arches, minilites and considerably more rust.

  16. great news Mandy! cute puppy Robbo! for me, managed to dodge death/a&e 3 times at work today, 1. forklift radiator bottom hose let go... oh hi burning antifreeze! 2. nearly got crushed while trying to band a load of timber (it's like bloody ax men!) 3. supervisor knocked another pile of wood over with the side loader and i had to dive out of the way. also feel less tired than i did yesterday and monday, i think i'm getting fitter!

  18. went to one of 6 depots my work owns, 8-5. organisation of a 9000 product warehouse ready for audit, and fulfilling customer orders. if the manual labour keeps up like this for the next 4 months i won't be renewing my gym membership.

  21. last night brake discs and pads all round on a customer car, then coilover suspension all round on a customer car today. just watching shawshank redemption and youtube tutorials on soldering copper pipe!

  23. i bought the redhawks too only £10, so not the biggest loss if they need replacing in a month or two... then the berwick super safety hiking boots, comfy comfy
  24. just a conclusion to this topic, i went to machine mart and bought dickies: trousers, socks, t shirts and boots... bout £100 all in. very nice! they're comfortable and holding up thus far
