    behind the centre piece of plastic there is a screw, I sawed off the center plastic, then the wheel can just be screwed of.

    I working on converting the McCormick 175 to a MF 7400 and the McCormick ZTX into a MF 8400, I'll post picks as soon as I have them done. I have just got to the hardest part, extending the bonnets, before casting.

    I had my last exam last tuesday, I was at Brunel, studying economics.

    If the mole grips idea dosn't work, what i did was to slightly pull the top wheel on the axle apart, then I just put a hack saw in the gap. It was a bit fiddly but got the job done.

    You could also try B&Q my local one sells 1m lengths of brass tubing at all different diameters. I think they do it in steel aswell. Its about ?1-2 for each length.

    Have you thought about cheating and using the floor pan from the Siku MF 8280, I think I have seen it up for sale on the tint'a'click for about ?3.
