  1. We used to have something very similar Paul, it was an old door with two posts nailed to it so the door sat on the link arms and the posts ran under either side of the rear axle of a Dexta to hold it in place, used to use it for mucking out calf boxes and carrying the muck to the midden. I learned to drive when I was nine, Dad just plonked me on the Dexta with a set of chain harrows on the back , set it off for me and then jumped off. Looking back it probably wasn’t the safest thing to do, but I survived and I’ve been driving tractors ever since, so I suppose it worked!
  2. Thanks very much Paul, the models have dried up at present as we’ve been lambing the past month, but hopefully I’ll be back to them again shortly!
  3. Thanks very much Paul, I don’t seem to have as much time to get on here of late, but I still try to post a little when I get the chance
  4. And the Roadless 120 and 118’s finally finished off
  5. A couple of Triffitt grain/silage trailers done
  6. Cab should be the same size
  7. To my eye, the only manufacturer who managed to make the 9/1056 look accurate has been Britains. We’ve had a few of the real things over the years and to be honest Britains captured them well with the long, low bonnet line that characterised them. Sean hit the nail on the head, it’s far too similar to the 12/1455’s , but then I suppose they have the tooling for those so it was bound to happen
  8. Out with the old, in with the new😉
  9. Thanks very much Ian👍
  10. 120 Roadless almost done, front wheel weights, wiper and a little weathering to add, and a small batch of 118’s nearing completion
  11. Dragged the old girls out to move a bit of topsoil 😉
  12. Thanks very much Simon, I am hoping to do some more, but it’ll probably be later in the year before I get to them I would think 👍
  13. Thanks very much Barry, I must admit I’m quite fond of her myself
  14. JCB 412 and attachments finally finished
  15. A little batch of IH’s and Case IH
  16. Finally finished the batch of 1454’s
  17. A few recent projects, first up Muir Hill 101 with front blade
  18. Have to say mate, I don’t think Paul’s done anything wrong here, I’m sure we all have models in our collection that we’ve bought cheap over the years that are worth a lot more now but we wouldn’t sell them for what we paid for them. I don’t see that as greed, just human nature 🤷🏻‍♂️😉
  19. I accept that it wasn’t his fault at all that Hermes were stupid enough to leave it in our bin and not send us notification that it had been delivered, but the way he went about resolving the problem was very poor, as I said bordering on sarcastic. However, we got refunded through our bank , and there’s no way I would ever buy from him again, so in the end it’s his loss I reckon Jack😉
  20. My advice would be to avoid, I’d dealt with him for years both on line and in person at the Lakeland show. Long story short we ordered a model for Sam’s birthday, got an email to say it was being dispatched and that delivery could take up to six days. After a week nothing had appeared, so contacted him. He came back to me saying it had been delivered and sent us a photo of the delivery site, which was inside our recycling bin at the end of our farm road, which is outside our property boundary on the grass verge next to the main road. The problem was that our bin had been emptied a couple of days earlier and the model with it. Explained all this to him, didn’t want to know, even sent a sarcastic reply saying that perhaps we should put a note on the bin next time saying not to leave any parcels in there, which really boiled my piss. Anyway, he made it quite clear that it was our problem and there would be no replacement or refund…..how wrong he was though!
  21. Thanks Smithy, I don’t know much, but what little I do know tends to be about Internationals 🤣
  22. They did Stan, synchromesh was introduced from the 74 series onwards on the 1 -4 gears, on the continental 56 series such as the 8/9/1056 and 844 the high/low/reverse was also synchromesh, making them quite advanced for their time. Sorry to butt Smithy, but I grew up with these tractors and we still have some now, so I’m quite familiar with them😉
