What a childish set of comments. Yes you might have got it cheap, but to then say you're putting it on eBay just to make money shows you're in it for greed. To then boast about it on a public forum? how pathetic. Things like this that spoil it for everyone else and takes the fun of collecting out of it.
Have to say mate, I don’t think Paul’s done anything wrong here, I’m sure we all have models in our collection that we’ve bought cheap over the years that are worth a lot more now but we wouldn’t sell them for what we paid for them. I don’t see that as greed, just human nature 🤷🏻♂️😉

Sounds like there’s plenty with bad experiences then. I haven’t bought a lot of him, only the 2 7530s and a couple bits on sale. Wouldn’t be too keen on buying from him again , especially after that John, that was really out of line from the seller
I accept that it wasn’t his fault at all that Hermes were stupid enough to leave it in our bin and not send us notification that it had been delivered, but the way he went about resolving the problem was very poor, as I said bordering on sarcastic. However, we got refunded through our bank , and there’s no way I would ever buy from him again, so in the end it’s his loss I reckon Jack😉

My advice would be to avoid, I’d dealt with him for years both on line and in person at the Lakeland show. Long story short we ordered a model for Sam’s birthday, got an email to say it was being dispatched and that delivery could take up to six days. After a week nothing had appeared, so contacted him. He came back to me saying it had been delivered and sent us a photo of the delivery site, which was inside our recycling bin at the end of our farm road, which is outside our property boundary on the grass verge next to the main road. The problem was that our bin had been emptied a couple of days earlier and the model with it. Explained all this to him, didn’t want to know, even sent a sarcastic reply saying that perhaps we should put a note on the bin next time saying not to leave any parcels in there, which really boiled my piss. Anyway, he made it quite clear that it was our problem and there would be no replacement or refund…..how wrong he was though!

No problem John ,thats what the forum is for getting answers to questions . I have driven a few over the years but can never remember the finer points
Thanks Smithy, I don’t know much, but what little I do know tends to be about Internationals 🤣

Thanks Smithy. I've never seen a 784 with that cab, so always wondered about the gear shift.
Am I correct that the 784 had synchromesh gears?
They did Stan, synchromesh was introduced from the 74 series onwards on the 1 -4 gears, on the continental 56 series such as the 8/9/1056 and 844 the high/low/reverse was also synchromesh, making them quite advanced for their time. Sorry to butt Smithy, but I grew up with these tractors and we still have some now, so I’m quite familiar with them😉

What is the gearshift arrangement on the 784 with the Sekura cab?
H pattern to the left of drivers seat?
The 84 series had the “lightening shift” pattern Stan the same as the 74 series, the H pattern came in with the 85 series. We used to have a Sekura cabbed 784 but with the Kimco 4wd front axle

That oil reservoir on the 754 would make for a very bruising and uncomfortable day at work.
Magnificent work yet again John.
Thanks very much Stan, yes it’s quite obtrusive isn’t it. I would imagine the cabbed one got rather warm in summer sat next to all that hot oil!

What was the method John? The bales look very realistic
It’s basically replicating how a real baler works Paul by making a chamber out of wood and a plunger to pack the sisal as you feed it in. I don’t know how to do links, but I’m sure if you do a search it should come up as James did a detailed topic on it👍

That's the one John, I just could not remember where you had put it, That seam down the middle and all the loose ends sticking out just looks so real, a very difficult effect to replicate I would imagen,

Joe.
Thanks Joe, I can’t take credit for those mind as I used James’s method for making them👍
