  1. Been out since 6 loading lorries with rubble using the jcb 436zx loading shovel, still another couple of hundred tons to load, but by 8pm our fuel tanks and fuel bowser was empty, so will hopefully get a delivery either first thing tomorrow (hopefully) or some time Monday, need to get the site cleared by Wednesday for stage 2 of our contract, stage one was demolishing the building, stage 2 is building another... So will hopefully get my mad mass excavating skill shown to all the old boys,
  2. Sitting filling in paper work, more paper work and filling the recycling bin, with paper work, also booked a weekend away for me and Carly, because I'm romantic and all that... Not
  3. Was reunited with my jcb js145w today as she's been having engine problems... She also had a bit of surgery while she was away, cab guard rack fitted on her roof, a full handrail around her rear, and a few other bits and bobs, then went out for a meal with Carly for our ninth valentines day, now sitting watching a load of DVDs... Definetly turning soft

    The Snow Topic

85mm fell in around 4 hours this morning, then turned to rain as it got into the afternoon... It's amazing how much snow you can clear with a Volvo loading shovel
  5. Had no jobs to price today so was actually working, got put straight to work on there l180 loading lorrys with over 300 tonnes of crushed rubble, then been busy loading the crusher, while there jcb 436zx loading shovel stock pilled it... I love my new job, also the much higher wage I now earn
  6. Been a weird day, first went out and looked at a couple of potential jobs, then went on to our largest job we've got going at the moment, realised today how much machinery the company I work for actually has, found out the company owns 2 cat d7's, a 2008 model and a 2011 model, a 2012 volvo L180G loading shovel, 2 Volvo EC460C's and a long reach JCB JS220... Some money's worth of machines anyway,
  7. Haha sure does, going to be resurfacing the road up to the old mans farm, with a slabbed pavement up one side, and resurfacing the yard aswell,
  8. Tidying up the yard with a JCB 515-40 which is currently on demo, quite a nifty little machine,
  9. 750 tonnes of type 1, 100 tonnes of sharp sand, 400 kerbs, 300 2x2 slabs, 80 bags of cement and a load of other bits and pieces,
  10. Went for a drive in the 936 and nc dump trailer with a 3 tonne JCB in it, dropped the digger and trailer off at a site, now heading back to base to collect the 8085zts and fuel bowser on the lowloader, hopefully home by 3, get to the bookies, couple of jars then home to see the girlfriend,
  11. Had a rather hectic day, measured up for a good sized soil strip out the back of edinburgh, sitting pricing it the now, reading this, laughing at Carly's stupidity and drinking an ice cold... Diet Coke, the joys of life
  12. Yup sure will be hiring in my own, they were one of my biggest customers before I shut up shop, and used to price loads of work for them, the promotion couldn't come at a better time either with the bubba on its way,
  13. Not much, but have signed a cheeky little contract, I'm now head plant operator for the company I've been working for, my duties include, operating plant, sourcing, purchasing, supplying plant and machinery, the pricing of jobs and various other bits and pieces, company car, which is a rather nice mitsubishi shogun, happy days
  14. A load of warning lights came on in the js145w and jcb won't come out until Friday, and the fact some absolute a*** hole smashed a one of the 8085zts windows, luckily the insurance covers that, but its just an inconvenience,
  15. I've got a Specialized SX Trail FSR, great downhill bike, pricey, but you pay for quality, and a kona mountain fire, also a good mountain bike, needs gears fixing, could be job at the weekend... Not
  16. Might have accidentally purchased a new car, an Audi A3 Sportback, but because I'm such an ignorant bast*** we decided to get rid of carlys mini instead of my r32,
  17. The price of bikes these days is mental, my kona was £560 and my downhill mountain bike was £(something thousand)750. Was probably the most stupid thing I've spent that much money on, time I've paid for tyres, puncture proof tubes, helmet all my protective gear, and all the rest it soon mounts up, then theres fuel, sometimes accommodation aswell, costly hobby
  18. You would think after breaking your left arm at 16 doing a stupid jump, right arm at 18 while crashing into a tree and then at 21 breaking both arms, 3 fingers, collar bone, a couple of toes and splitting my head open in 3 places I would pack it in, surprised im still with Carly after her saying if I hurt my self again doing stupid things she would leave me, that was 9 years ago... Must be doing something right
  19. Away to watch the raith v Celtic game, as the stupid lassie in the bookie mucked up my coupon and has raith to beat the celts, if the coupon comes in, ill be £3500 up
  20. Thinking about doing the Nevis run once more before the bubba comes, can't go breaking my arms again and make Carly do all the work now could i
