  13. 1) Brass comes in sheet form and various shaped profiles but is more expensive and not as easy to work with as Plastruct 2) The elevator traces were cast from one taken off the Bruder Grimme potato Harvester, so not readily available anywhere 2a) The cylinders were made from Plastruct/Butyrate tubing and split pins on my harvester which worked well, car aerials also make good rams for the larger diameter ones 2b) Just use pins, wire or plastruct solid rod to fix them together 3) Just ask about, If it is Simba discs you are after I have a quantity of them in my spares box at the minute I believe. Someone on here may be able to help with other items. If not people like Walkerparts, Dave Towse and Farm Models do parts for some items Hope that helps Sascha

  17. What a lot of us use on here for scratch building is a material called Plastruct which is a form of plastic available in many different shapes and profiles, it can be easily cut and glues together and is much cheaper and easier to work with than brass. Plasticard is the sheet material that usually gets used with it and comes in sizes between A4 and A2 depending on your supplier, most good model shops will keep these in stock if not try the website below for them http://www.ema-models.co.uk/shop/catpages/page-AA.html for plastruct http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZstation-road-baseboards for plasticard The topic below gives you an idea of what can be done with these materials, this was my first scratchbuild project but I'd always recommend anyone else to start off with something simpler as I'm just a glutton for punishment :D http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=12146.0 If any of us can help you in anyway just ask andd we'll try our best

I think you'll find there's a 0 missing off the end of that price, far too many hours to go into contracting with as well if its going to get a lot of heavy usage
