  1. It's a Case CS which is just a rebadged Steyr, after all they are all part of the same parent firm, past pictures show us that German farmers/contractors will gladly repaint their tractors. Local hedge cutting contractor uses one near here
  2. Ok so everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the new releases but what we have to remember is Siku are still aimed at the toy market to a greater degree than the collector market so as such they will not have the same level of detail as UH. We mustn't forget that some if not most of these images will be of the prototypes as well so will be further refined as yet One thing I do know is that when I was younger and still treating models as toys I'd have loved to have had a lot of the new releases shown there on my model farm, the quality and range has improved greatly since I was growing up.
  3. My personal choice would be for neither of them because as someone who has driven all of the mainstream makes out there now, the two that have had the most serious faults with them have been MF and JD. 30/36** MF's with gearboxes and electronics and 6900 JD with engine problems at a very young age. I was brought up with Ford tractors though, my late Father having sold them in the early 80's with the *600, 10, 10 II and TW ranges, I will be the first to admit though that they were prone to engine failure. Even my favourite brand, Renault isn't without its faults but as with everything there are good and bad tractors of every make and model out here, one could do 12000 miles without fault and the other could be a dog from day one, be it a Belarus or a Fendt
  4. Well it worked at Toytrac when you done it, myself and Marky helped to set your stand up as a result of that technique :D
  5. He won't be the only one, its been a few months since the last one so I'll leave it for now but the minute it gets out of hand, and lets face it going on previous experience it will this topic will be locked/removed
  6. I know you've probably checked it out Stephen but that does sound iffy to me, I've had at least two from ebay telling me that lately and at least double that from Paypal, all turned out to be spoof emails when I reported them >
  7. The early ones had a lever sprouting from the dash but hat was changed to the the electronic one, either won't give you much trouble. There are two types of range change, one you pull the gearstick towards you (or push away, long time since I drove a 700 series) or a push button on the gearstick, on the 836 there was also a clutch button on the gearstick, usually used that instead of the pedal for main changes, it also softened the blow on powershift changes under load. My 836 did have the Renault version of Datatronic, it was an optional extra so they all didn't have it, if it has it will be on the right hand door pillar under the radio. The cab is very spacious with lots of room for lunch bags, tool boxes and girlfriend I've never heard of any pump failures although my mates 710RZ did suffer a lift problem at 11000hrs, nothing too major though but up to that point and after it both him and the previous owners (Gunthers) had no problems with it
  8. They are a damn good pulling tractor Nath, they were the predecessor to the 836 like the one I had. Gearbox wise you won't find any faults in that area, they took the dynashift gearbox and strengthened it, at the time they said in 145 ways. The main areas to check on it are the hydraulic crossshaft on the back end as the bushes can wear in them, the front axle swivels and pivot points as if these haven't been greased as per the manual the bearings fail and you'll be looking at a new axle casing. Engine wise, one thats worked hard for a living will pull like a train, just check the head area as these were prone to head gasket failure although by 4400hrs if it was going to go it would have done. Gearbox as stated earlier is 4 on the stick with 4 splits in each just like the Dynashift, just a high and low range changed by a button on the side of the gearstick, it may also have a creep range fitted, the lever for which is down the right hand side of the seat. Lift capacity is outstanding for a tractor of that size, it is rated at 11t maximum in the brochures and will happily lift a 6 furrow plough or 4m combination drill. It is fitted with the Dromone push out hitch as well, one warning here, if the trailer slips off the hook between the hitch and axle whilst hitching up it needs quick reactions or due to the lift capacity it will crack all the mounting brackets for the lift rods, I speak from experience It is a heavy tractor though and tips the scales at around 9000kg so is very stable for hedge cutting work Fuel economy is good for a tractor that size but tank size lets it down if it doesn't have the extra tank fitted on the right hand side. For the money you are looking at though you are getting a lot of hp, it does have some electronics but no where near as many as its competitors and should give you years of good service. Hope that helps
  9. Fendt, NH and McCormick overalls, the Renault ones failed the angle grinder test :D Also Renault T-shirt, fleece and cap, Claas cap, McCormick coat and cap, MF Fermec Coat, also had Case and Claas overalls in the past but they fell apart There's also an Ambra fleece and an Akcela fleece that came with barrels of NH amd Case oil respectively

  17. Been delivering oil again, this time around Stowmarket, Sudbury and East Bergholt in Suffolk
  18. No, came round the oil company I deliver for, they're serving us with improvement notices and even talk of prosecution due to negligence by head office, the inspectors words were "Its as if they've forgotten about you here". Didn't help when a light tube leaning against the wall fell over and hit her on the head
