  1. Dread to think what would happen if I lost one out of my 24 bale transporter, the 8' D4000 bales weigh a fair bit more than a small conventional one :D
  2. Well luckily for you guys I had to go and get a tool out of the McCormick today which is on the chaser so managed to get some pictures of it working. Would have been some of the 7840 on the Lely mower as well as I was supposed to cut a very thick and heavy grass field this afternoon but the slip clutch burnt out on the mower 50m into it so it didn't happen
  3. Did make a couple of videos of loading the carrier today but you'll have to turn your monitors 90 degrees to see them the right way up :D
  4. No we don't Sean, alot is done for the duck farm and the rest is all contract work for farmers and Easton College
  5. Heres a few pics of the duck farms new Merlo stacking the bales in a shed, they had a Claas before this but need such a small one because of some of the low sheds they have there
  6. It is a bit different but as that 78 is so tweaked up it isn't so noticable as it would be if she was standard. Nice and busy here at the minute, just done 12 hours shifting stacks with the ECE, anything up to a 6-7 mile round trip. Its all good fun, at least doing the stacks I don't get covered in so much barley muck as with the baling
  7. Yeah, it was the JCB again, never pushed a stack over....yet! got a suspect one on a field tomorrow though \ I'll see what I can do with the chaser pics, I don't use that so I'm not usually working where that is. Its a Walton Eclipse
  8. Absolutely crap straw yield on those fields today, that 6ha field gave us 12 bales \ It is some poor land about there though, that field was a stones throw from The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, the others joined onto Norwich City's training ground at Colney and were no better. Elsewhere though the yields are ok
  9. It holds the additive for treating grass silage, same as the barrel would on a forage harvester. The liquid gets sprayed onto the swath as it passes into the pick-up area
  10. Today I have been clearing up straw behind our other baler which is destined for Easton College. Heres our other baler which is 1 year old and fitted with an additive kit for silage
  11. They do but it isn't worth the call out fee when it can just as easily wait till the morning
  12. Today I have been clearing up stacks with the TS135-A and ECE carrier so got some pics for you lot Empty: Tipped up with all gates opened ready to load: Reversed into stack: Loaded and ready to go: The control box: Top L-R:- Buck tip, Left gate, Right gate, Main tine lift, Bottom grippers (top gate controlled on spool) Bottom L-R:- On/Off, Work light, Fuses
  13. Cheers for the comments guys As for the 7840 Barry you can't compare either of our two to any other one as instead of a 100hp they have both been turbo'd and push out 145hp -155hp so they pull like a train, that one handles the trailer no problems The 8770 is a good pulling tractor but has had its engine rebuilt twice in 6000hrs so isn't the model of reliability unlike a 8870 I drove somewhere else in the past. Still a nice tractor to drive though
  14. One of the main lift hoses on the bale carrier bursting and attempting to drain the tractor back end of oil........after our local hydraulic firm had shut for the day
  15. Here are some pictures from today when I was carting corn with one of the 7840's and the 8770, both on 14t Baileys. The TX66 is a 20' cut and a 2002 machine I believe
  16. As Jez says but we do also have an ECE bale carrier which is like an old cooks one that has been on steroids, will pick up that whole stack
  17. Thats our little artic trailer as well at only 35 feet long, the other is a 40 footer which I did have to tow down the road to stop the kids torching the bales on the field I baled before that one, boy did the JCB know it had that behind it :D
  18. Thanks Mandy, its great for stacking although we do now have a "chaser"/self loading wagon as well. What you see there is illegal if I set a tyre on the public highway, they will tow but that one is only rated for a 10 ton trailer, heats the transmission up alot as well. You aren't supposed to tow articulated trailers on the road with them so I was told :
  19. Today I have been baling straw for most of the day, had to stack some bales up tonight as well as my stacking man had to go early. No pictures of the baling but heres some of the stacking
  20. I certainly can Sean, just let me know which one/colour you would like
  21. cheeky sod, been hard at work on these and casting bale stacks :D thanks, i'm pleased with them, I hope the new owners will be too
  22. Been working on a few of these yesterday today in various colours and sizes so thought I'd share them with you lot :D 3m ones first
